In the space of the game, 36 alien creatures or fauna can be captured using the proton whip. How to Find and Scan an Alpha Vaperon
For this, you’ll have to go to the planet Xephyr at Greater Sand Sea. After teleporting there, start running straight and a little towards your left. Since it’s a desert area, figuring out directions can be a bit difficult. Keep running until you reach the Pillars of Turpitude, where you’ll find these huge skeletons of dead animals. Here, you’ll come across Vaperons and maybe a few other enemies, so be prepared with your gun to fight them off. When you’ve finally defeated the Vaperons and the additional enemies, the Alpha Vaperon will appear. Red-orangish in color, he’s huge and his speciality is a tornado of blades. His weak spot is on his knees, so you can use this info against him.
