Faelian Location in Oblivion Remastered The Lonely Wanderer Quest

In Oblivion Remastered, “The Lonely Wanderer” is the fifth mission in the Brotherhood storyline. This contract sends you deep into the Imperial City on the trail of Faelian, a troubled High Elf lost to addiction and paranoia. This guide will walk you through Faelian’s location and how to claim your reward.

The Lonely Wanderer

“The Lonely Wanderer” is the fifth quest in the Dark Brotherhood storyline in Oblivion Remastered. To unlock this mission, you need to join the Dark Brotherhood and complete all four of Vicente Valtieri’s initial contracts. After completing “The Assassinated Man”, where you fake Francois Motierre’s death, Valtieri will direct you to Ocheeva, another Brotherhood member who will handle your next set of assignments. You can find Ocheeva reading or sitting at her table in the Cheydinhal Sanctuary, just before you reach Vicente’s quarters at the back.

In “The Lonely Wanderer,” your task is to locate and assassinate a High Elf named Faelian, who is somewhere in the Imperial City. However, if you want to earn a bonus, you must kill Faelian in a secure location, away from Captain Adamus Phillida, who already suspects the Brotherhood’s activities. If you are caught or if you kill Faelian in public, you will forfeit the bonus.

Faelian Location

To begin tracking Faelian, head to the Elven Gardens District of the Imperial City and talk to Elven NPCs, shopkeepers, commoners, or anyone willing to talk. Eventually, someone will tell you Faelian has been seen staying at the Tiber Septim Hotel in the Talos Plaza District. Go there and speak with the innkeeper, who will reveal that Faelian only visits occasionally and is staying with a woman. He’s only around for a few hours each night, so you may have to wait or wander the district to spot him.

If you follow Faelian, you will notice he moves between the hotel and Lorkmir’s House, another place he spends time in. However, this location is locked at first and only becomes accessible later in the quest. You won’t be able to follow him inside until the quest progresses further.

Once you finally meet Faelian, you will discover he’s a Skooma addict, his mind deteriorated by the drug. He will slur through a conversation and ask if you have any Skooma to share. If you bring him Skooma, he will trust you enough to invite you to his private hideout, which becomes your opportunity to fulfill the secure kill requirement and earn the bonus.
