The Explore Kepler: Fabled quest asks players to collect six Strangelets; four from known campaign missions and two that lie hidden in the open world. With puzzle solving, timed battles, and traveling aided through Matterspark, this methodical guide takes you through each location step by step. Whether it is revisiting a mission or discovering hidden areas, follow along to complete the quest and face The Archon in the final showdown.
Starting the Explore Kepler: Fabled Quest
Starting at the Altar of Relativity, this quest revolves around the hunt for six Strangelets. Four are tied to campaign missions you have played in the past, and the other two lie somewhere out there in the open world. You will be made to revisit each of them once more to collect the required Strangelet and return it to the Altar.
Finding the Strangelet in the Outer Wastes

The fifth Strangelet holds a position in the Outer Wastes, with the large search zone marking its place towards the top-left region of the map. Due to the Fallen barrier blocking the ledge, you’d have to look around for it. Near the facility, there is a door protected by laser guards. Behind the door is the target of the Relocator. To enter, go past the structure and find a Relocator cannon and a portal beside a mission beacon. Use the cannon to shoot through the lasers at the target, which will unlock the portal to enter the building. Enter the building, drop through the hatch, and switch to Matterspark to reach a terminal. After interacting with this terminal, make your way back to the surface, where a rally banner will now be visible. Interact with the nearby beacon to commence a timed event. You will have six minutes to defeat two Captains and a Walker. Afterward, retrieve the Strangelet and carry it back to the Altar.
Tracking Down the Strangelet in Curtilage Divide
The final open-world Strangelet can be found in Curtilage Divide, located in the bottom-right corner of the map. Head south from the zone’s landing point until you find a chamber filled with suspended platforms and cables. The Strangelet you’re looking for is placed atop a central platform, but it’s protected by a force field. As you stand near it, take note of three things: a lasered door in the bottom right, a Matter Realignment point across the room, and a small, raised room high above the area. Start by disabling the lasers and grabbing the Relocator from the bottom-right room. Then, take it to the Matter Realignment spore to unlock the ability to move platforms. Rearrange the platforms to create a path across the room, then head to the top room and fire the Relocator at the target inside. Use the portal that appears to enter and activate the system purge from the terminal. Now return to the Strangelet, rally at the nearby banner, and start the boss fight. While there’s no time limit this time, you’ll have to deal with splinter mines that must be disarmed during the battle. Once the boss is down, collect the Strangelet and return it to the Altar.
Final Objective: Face the Archon
With all six Strangelets collected and delivered, your final task is to take down The Archon in the last mission of The Edge of Fate campaign, on Fabled difficulty. This mission is considerably longer and more intense than the earlier ones, featuring three separate boss battles. Enemies here are much tougher, so expect a challenge. Make sure you’re well-prepared, as this fight will truly test your build and combat strategy.
