Surviving Arrakis is one thing—finding slavers is another. If you’ve been dropped into the endless desert of Dune: Awakening and find yourself hunting slavers for loot, faction standing, or contracts, you’re going to need more than luck. The map is huge, full of danger, and very easy to get lost in. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you track down those elusive slaver camps and make the most of your time in the dunes.
Where to Look: The Jabal Eifrit Region
Slavers have claimed their turf in the Jabal Eifrit zone, located north of the Vermillius Gap and west of Hagga Rift. Be warned though—this isn’t a friendly stroll across the map. The area is surrounded by quicksand traps, and your vehicle is not immune. If it gets stuck, deploy your Vehicle Backup Tool to save it before it sinks for good.
Hotspots for Slaver Activity
- Slavers are scattered throughout Jabal Eifrit, but if you want a solid chance at finding them fast, head for the Intel Bases in the central part of the region.
- These bases are often packed with slavers. Take them down to collect loot, valuable intel, and quest-related kills.
- Think of them as high-traffic zones where you’ll be able to meet multiple objectives at once.
Faction Ties: Atreides vs. Harkonnen
When you enter the Anvil settlement in the Vermillius Gap, you’ll witness a heated scene between members of House Atreides and House Harkonnen.
If you side with Lieutenant Anton Tolliver of House Atreides, he’ll hand you a quest that involves eliminating ten slavers—a contract tied to their ongoing feud with the Harkonnens.
Important: If you’re leaning toward the Harkonnen path, this might be a quest to skip.
About the Quest Marker
Once you accept the slaver contract, a pin will appear on your map pointing toward Jabal Eifrit. But don’t expect it to land on a precise camp. The marker covers a broad area, so you’ll need to manually sweep through each Intel Base to find enough targets.
Pro Tips for Fast Completion
- Bring strong gear—the slavers can be tough in numbers.
- Don’t just camp one spot. Move between different Intel Bases to get your 10 kills quickly.
- Clear camps completely—this often triggers loot drops and can speed up contract progression.
With this plan, you’ll be in and out of Jabal Eifrit with slaver kills, loot, and faction gains before the sandworms even notice you.
