The Price of Betrayal is one of the many faction-based quests you can take on in Dune: Awakening. This quest is part of an Atreides Contract, where you’re asked to help House Atreides investigate a strange illness spreading among deserters in the Hagga Rift. While the quest is pretty straightforward, many players get stuck at the console part because it’s not marked. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to start the quest, where to find the right console, and how to complete it without getting stuck.
How to Start The Price of Betrayal Quest Guide in Dune Awakening
The Price of Betrayal is an Atreides Contract quest in Dune: Awakening, where you work on behalf of House Atreides to strengthen their influence on Arrakis. The mission comes from Anton Tolliver, who’s concerned about a mysterious illness spreading among the deserters in Hagga Rift. Since House Atreides has some allies in the region, he’s worried for their safety. Your task is to locate these deserters, collect a blood sample, and analyse it using a console found in one of their camps.
The Price of Betrayal Quest Guide
Once you’ve defeated the deserters at their outpost in the Hagga Rift, your next step is to analyse a blood sample using a console. To find it, head down the large spiral staircase at the camp, just keep going until you reach a wall lined with consoles. Look for the specific console marked for analysis and interact with it. That completes the investigation part of the quest. From there, all that’s left is to return to Anton Tolliver and report your findings. Finishing the contract will earn you 350 XP, 1,200 Solari, and 50 Standing with House Atreides.
The Price of Betrayal Quest Bugged
If you’re stuck on the “analyse the blood at the console” part of The Price of Betrayal quest in Dune: Awakening, you’re not alone. The quest tells you there’s a console at one of the deserter camps, but the actual spot isn’t always obvious. After clearing out the deserters at the outpost in Hagga Rift, head down the large spiral staircase nearby. Keep going until you reach a wall with four black consoles that look like they’re linked together.
Only the one on the far right actually works. The others won’t respond, which can be confusing. If the interaction icon doesn’t show up right away, stop moving and wait a few seconds; it sometimes takes a moment to trigger. Try adjusting your position slightly until the prompt appears. Once you interact with the correct console, you’ll complete that objective and can report back to Anton Tolliver to finish the quest.
