Sadness from Inside Out has entered Disney Dreamlight Valley; however, unlocking her is not a straightforward process of inviting her directly in. Players must first complete the “Get Up and Glow” quest. To do this, players will need to walk through Long Term Memory and collect the hidden Pop Concert Musical Memories, as well as help to set up a large stage performance in the dream world. This step-by-step guide will help you get Sadness to the village.
Beginning the “Get Up and Glow” Quest
To start, jump back into the Inside Out Realm and speak to Sadness. Sadness will explain that Riley needs your help, which means travelling further into Long Term Memory. Your ultimate goal is to collect several Pop Concert Musical Memories, some will be visible and some will require some routing control puzzles and some breaking rocks.
Where to Find Every Pop Concert Musical Memory
Memory 1
Smash the first cluster of rocks you come across, then check the nearby shelf on your left to grab the first memory.
Memory 2
Keep heading down the path until you see two blocked areas with routing control puzzles. Take the clear path to the left and look to the right-hand shelf for the second memory.
Memory 3
Now go back and focus on the right-side routing controls (since the left is missing a button). Break the rock here to recover the red button and a memory. To clear the puzzle, press the middle console first, then the right one. This opens up the way forward and nets you another Pop Concert Musical Memory.
Memory 4
Place the red button back into its console. Solve this puzzle by pressing the middle switch, then the left one, and finally the right. Head inside to collect the fourth and last musical memory.
Once all four memories are in your inventory, talk to Sadness. She’ll direct you to the Recall Tube, where you can load them in and send them off to HQ.
Decorating the Stage
Once you’ve sent the memories back through the Recall Tube, Sadness will ask you to help prepare the stage for the dream concert. For this, you’ll need to place six specific items around the set: two speakers, two stage lights, a DJ booth, and the small red cannon. After setting everything up, dress your character in a bold outfit that matches the concert vibe. When you’re ready, head to the microphone to kick off the performance. After the show ends, speak with Sadness one last time, she’ll be delighted with how everything turned out and agree to move into your valley, officially completing the “Get Up and Glow” quest.
