Crimson Kimono Armor and All Color Dyes in Ghost of Yotei

In Ghost of Yotei, the Crimson Kimono is a special armor that’s perfect for players who enjoy a stealthy playstyle. It helps Atsu stay hidden from enemies, making it easier to sneak around and take down targets without being seen. In this guide, we will walk you through every step you need to follow to get your hands on Crimson Kimono Armor.

Crimson Kimono Armor

The Crimson Kimono armor works well with a stealth build for Atsu. When you’re wearing it, enemies will have a harder time spotting you, even in broad daylight. Kusarigama goes well with this armor. It’s a chained weapon that lets you pull enemies toward you and finish them off quickly.

How to Start the Crimson Kimono Quest

To get the Crimson Kimono in Ghost of Yotei, you will first need to speak with Ugetsu in Sakuru Woods. After that, a bunch of snowbugs called Red Yuki Mushi will appear. They will guide you on your quest to find the armor. Follow them and interact with the snow sculptures of a mother and daughter along the way.

The first snow sculpture will lead you to a small campsite. Here, you will find a scroll that says the daughter from Ugetsu’s story traveled to the Hakodake Mountains. Now, you need to head towards the eastern Hakodake Mountains, which is north from Sakuru Woods. Once there, look for a tree called the Mother Daughter Tree. Underneath it, you will find another snow sculpture. Examine it, and the Yuki Mushi will show up again.

As you follow them, you will be attacked by Shinobi warriors. Take them down and keep following the bugs. They will lead you to a house in the mountains. Inside, you will find another scroll pointing to the next snow sculpture. This one is located on a mountain just north of the Teshio River, in the middle of Teshio Ridge.

At the new location, you will find another Mother Daughter Tree with a sculpture beneath it. Interact with it, and the Red Yuki Mushi will take you to the Old Home. The house where the daughter once lived. Go inside, and you will find a scroll mentioning that she was working on a new sculpture near a frozen stream outside.

Once you find this unfinished sculpture, interact with it to complete it. Doing this will summon the Yuki Mushi one last time. Follow them now, and you will reach the mother’s grave. Beside it, under a pile of rocks, is a chest. Inside is your reward, the Crimson Kimono. Once you collect it and the quest ends.

All Color Dyes in Ghost of Yotei

In Ghost of Yotei, dye merchants are special characters who allow you to change the color of your armor. These dyes are purely cosmetic and don’t affect your stats or gameplay, but they give you a chance to personalise your character’s look as you explore the world. There are a few dyes that you can use on your Crimson Kimono Armor, like Stolen Sunflower Dye, Hidden Sakura Dye, Burrowed Mosst Dye and the Eclipsed Plum Dye Location.

To get the Stolen Sunflower dye, visit Ginji the Armorer and buy it directly from him. For the Hidden Sakura dye, look for any Ainu merchant they’ll have it available for purchase. If you want the Burrowed Moss dye, head over to the Tokachi Range. There, you’ll find a Green Dye Merchant who sells it. After finishing the main mission “Echoes of the Storm,” Eclipsed Plum Dye dye also becomes available at any Ainu merchant you come across.
