Countdown to BO6 Season 1 Release Date & Time

Black Ops 6 kicks off one of the biggest launch weekends in Call of Duty history, cementing its place as one of the most popular entries in the franchise. With innovative Multiplayer, an action-packed spy-thriller Campaign, and a terrifying Zombies mode, Black Ops 6 offers plenty of content. And the excitement doesn’t end there, Season 1 is just around the corner, bringing even more to look forward to.

Black Ops 6 Season 1

After the events of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Campaign, Sevati “Sev” Dumas returns with a plan to eliminate the remaining Pantheon operatives. Using her ties to the powerful Avalon crime families, Sev brokers a tense alliance between the Rogue team and the French Syndicate. The Rogue team needs equipment, weapons, and intel on Pantheon’s survivors, while the Syndicate wants the Luttazzi faction taken out and all Crimson One forces pushed out of Avalon. Together, they form a fragile but strategic partnership.

While operations around Area 99 continue, Rogue Black Ops are gearing up to honor their part of the deal. Plans are already in motion to hit the Luttazzi where it hurts the most: their finances and their pride. This will involve a daring raid on a money-laundering vault and an attack on a Luttazzi-owned art gallery.

Black Ops 6 Season 1 Release Countdown

What’s New in The Black Ops 6 Season 1

Warzone will kick off with Black Ops 6 integration at the start of season one, bringing all the weapons from BO6 into the game along with omnimovement, a new map, ranked play, and weapon balancing. The standout addition is Area 99, the new map and home of the original Nuketown. There are 10 points of interest (POIs) to explore, including the central Reactor, a Bunker, a Warehouse, and a Mannequin Assembly factory.

Warzone

The new Warzone Resurgence map is inspired by one of the most iconic Black Ops maps ever: Area 99. This government facility was designed to produce Nuketowns, so players will battle it out through partially built homes and mannequin production areas as they fight for victory with their squad. Classic Warzone maps are making a comeback! The original Urzikstan map will be available at launch for Battle Royale and Plunder modes, and shortly after, Rebirth Island will return for the Resurgence mode.

Multiplayer Mode: Maps

Three new maps are coming to the game with the start of Season 01. You can train in the medium-sized Hideout map, fight in the medium-sized Avalon Heliport map, or engage in fast-paced action in the small-sized fine art museum map. Additionally, another new map, the remastered Hacienda map, and a holiday-themed Nuketown map will be released later in the season.

Hideout

Improve your combat skills in the Hideout map, a medium-sized multiplayer map. This map offers a comprehensive training area with target practice, an obstacle course, and a realistic simulation of a vault and security room to prepare for your next mission against the Luttazzi crime family. Practice advanced movement techniques in the training area and bus depot, or take a strategic position on the central bridge to control both areas.

Heirloom

Heirloom is a new, fast-paced 2v2 or 6v6 map set in a small, intimate space. You’ll crash a private art exhibition hosted by the Luttazzi family to distract enemies while your team executes a secret mission. The map features a large sculptural centerpiece in the main exhibit, as well as a lobby and side exhibits. You can ambush enemies in the cloakroom or light display, or take a moment to appreciate the artwork and learn about Avalon’s art history.

Extraction

Extraction is a new, medium-sized 6v6 map set in the aftermath of a Crimson One attack on the Avalon Heliport. The once-peaceful tourist destination is now a chaotic battlefield, with a crashed helicopter and a dead pilot. You can engage in long-range firefights across the helipad, or fight in close quarters in the main lobby and warehouse. Just watch out for those spinning helicopter rotors!

For the best overview of the battlefield, climb the air traffic control tower. If you prefer a more stealthy approach, sneak under the landing deck and fight in the tight spaces near the water and loading docks. No matter your preferred playstyle, this map offers various ways to achieve victory.

Nuketown

In Call of Duty, get ready for a festive surprise during the holiday season. This one would feature a special holiday version of the classic Nuketown map. With this exciting update comes a lot of other interesting changes that could probably be seen even on the original Nuketown map and even possibly on the Warhead Strike map.

Hacienda

Hacienda is a remastered version of the classic 6v6 map, bringing you back to the luxurious vineyard estate. Fight within the two-story mansion, overlooking the beautiful courtyard. Explore the grand foyer, lion statue, showroom garage, and garden. On the other side of the estate, you’ll find an aquarium above the vault. Outside, the serene setting offers a boathouse, swimming area, outdoor patio, wine shed, and vineyard. While there are plenty of long-range sightlines, the map’s architecture also allows for close-quarters combat.

Racket

Racket is a new 2v2 or 6v6 underground bank vault setting map, this will be the center of the Luttazzi family money laundering operation. You’ll need to break into the vault, which is guarded by a large bulldozer. The damaged artwork and defaced Luttazzi symbols hint at the family’s greed and corruption. This map is designed for intense close-quarters combat, with many tight corners and enclosed spaces. Stay alert and navigate carefully to emerge victorious.

Multiplayer Mode: Mods

The two new modes will be a new Ransack, which would require the player to steal gold and protect one’s stash and the return of Party Mode. After this, the festive limited-time modes and highly anticipated Multiplayer Ranked Play mode with its rewards, new features, and updates will be there in the season.

Ransack

In Ransack, players gather gold bars from crates spread across 6v6 maps. Once you collect some loot, you need to bring it back to your team’s stash to secure it. But be ready your stash is fair game for the enemy team, so coordinating between looting and defending is essential. To win, reach the score limit first or end the game with the most gold secured.

Prop Hunt

Prop Hunt is back, bringing a fun twist to hide-and-seek in the Black Ops Multiplayer mode! In this game, you play as either a Prop or a Hunter. Props get a few seconds to hide as random objects around the map, aiming to blend into the scenery while avoiding detection. Every 30 seconds, though, you’ll let out an unavoidable whistle, making it tricky to stay hidden. You can drop identical decoys to confuse the Hunters, switch to a different object, or even throw a Stun Grenade if you’re about to be caught. Hunters, meanwhile, are on the lookout, scanning for anything out of place or that might have made a suspicious whistle and then, they shoot!
