Complete Guide to Raise Chicken in Farming Simulator 25

Chickens are simple to look after and provide a steady supply of eggs that you can sell or use. There are several ways you can provide for and house your chickens, giving you some flexibility in how you manage them. Chickens will lay eggs regularly, which you can collect. Keep the coop clean and add bedding, such as straw, to keep them comfortable. You can also breed them to grow your flock. With proper care, your chickens will produce plenty of eggs, helping you earn money. This is a complete guide to raising chicken in Farming Simulator 25.

Buying the Chicken in Farming Simulator 25

There are two types of chickens; hens and roosters. If you want to breed chickens, you’ll need a rooster as well. Chickens are a bit different from other animals because you can’t transport them yourself. Instead, you’ll need to buy them from the livestock trader or directly at the barn. If you want to breed chickens, be sure to buy a rooster as well.

Caring for the Chickens in Farming Simulator 25

Here’s what you’ll need to care for and manage chickens:

  • A tractor with a front loader and pallet fork: These tools are essential for handling the feed and eggs. Use the pallet fork to move feed into the barn and transport eggs to your truck or directly to the point of sale.
  • A pickup truck: While you can use the tractor to deliver eggs, having a pickup truck makes transporting pallets of eggs easier. You can load them up and drive them to the sale point, or you can always transport them one pallet at a time with the tractor.
  • After you have bought chickens, you will need a place to house your chickens. You have two housing options for chickens; a pasture or a coop. Both options require you to provide feed, and in return, you’ll get eggs. If you plan on growing your flock and focusing on a larger egg production business, the coop is the better choice.
    • Pasture: A more open space for chickens, but it can only hold up to 30 chickens.
    • Coop: A larger option, better suited for breeding and managing a bigger operation focused on egg production.

Feeding the Chickens in Farming Simulator 25

Chickens need wheat, sorghum, or barley for food. You can grow these crops yourself or purchase a big bag of wheat from the dealership. You’ll find the wheat in the “BigBag” section and will need to transport it to the coop. The good news is you don’t need to provide water for your chickens.

Here are your four options for feeding chickens:

  • Use crops you’ve grown: Feed your chickens wheat, barley, or sorghum that you’ve harvested from your own fields.
  • Buy pre-made feed: Purchase chicken feed directly from the dealership in the “Bigbag” section, which is essentially just wheat.
  • Start with pre-made feed: If you’re new to chicken farming and haven’t grown wheat, barley, or sorghum yet, it might be easier to begin with ready-to-go feed from the dealer.
  • Adjust your farming operations: Once you’re set-up, you can plan to grow the necessary crops (wheat, barley, or sorghum) for feeding your chickens in the future.

Reproducing Chickens in Farming Simulator 25

Chickens can reproduce based on three key factors:

  • Their age: Younger chickens are cheap but if you buy them it will take time to reach the mating stage. So, if money is not a factor for you then buy the chicken appropriate for breeding and also the rooster.
  • Available space: Chickens become mature at six months old and can start breeding, but only if there’s enough space left in the barn. Don’t fill the barn to its maximum capacity. This will help save you money, and you’ll still get new chickens through breeding, which you can later sell on the animal screen.
  • Health: their health must be 100%, which you can maintain by feeding them regularly.

Selling Chickens and Products in Farming Simulator 25

You have three options for selling with chickens:

  • Sell the chickens: You can sell the chickens themselves if you’re ready to part with them.
  • Sell the eggs: Eggs can be sold to the bakery, restaurant, or farmer’s market.
  • Make and sell cake: If you own the bakery and have the other necessary ingredients, you can make cakes. Cakes can be sold for a higher price than eggs.
