The Burdening Letter quest in Tainted Grail is a simple but important mission that reveals a secret plan to ruin someone’s work. You will start the quest inside the cave. Inside, you will fight enemies, collect loot, and discover a letter that hints at who planned the sabotage. As you talk to different characters like Caed, Denholm, and Erfyr, you will get to choose how to handle the information, whether to keep it secret, ask for a reward, or confront the person behind it all. This guide will walk you through each step so you don’t miss anything.
Burdening Letter Quest

To begin the Burdening Letter Quest, reach the marked area in Cuanacht. When you reach there, you will find a cave entrance inside the mountains. Enter the cave and defeat the enemies. Inside the cave, you will also find a lot of loot; make sure to pick it up.
Move forward inside the cave, and you will find a painting. From the painting, move straight. Inside you will find many tents. Beside one of the tents, you will find a table. In that table, you will find the letter.
“LETTER WRITTEN IN COAL
Are you out of your goddamned minds?! You knew very well that it was supposed to be a clean job. That was the deal. I could understand needing to rough someone up, but that Kamelot guy… you almost killed him. The man can’t even recognize his own brother. Why the hell did you do that?! This is madness. For now, you are to lay low. When I get my hands on the one responsible for this, I’ll smash his head against my anvil…
Oh, and next time, focus more on sabotaging equipment instead of beating people up. The damage you did last time is nothing. They’ll fix it in no time.
E.”
The letter reveals that someone hired the thugs to disrupt Kamelot’s work, and the signature points to someone whose name starts with “E”. You now have the choice to tell your findings to any of the three persons: Caed, Denholm, or Erfyr, to end the quest and earn 1700 XP.
Finding Caed
Now, reach the above-marked area in Cuanacht to talk to Caed. He will ask you if you have learned anything about the sabotage. Select the option “I went to the cave. I found something that could point to the person responsible for the sabotage.” And he will reward you with 1700 XP.
Finding Denholm
After that, you need to talk to Denholm. You will find him in Cuanacht. His exact location is marked on the map above. When you talk to him, select the option “I found a letter that quite clearly points to the person who ordered the sabotage.” Then he will ask you to keep the information a secret. Now select the option “About that information? A little bit of gold could help me keep my mouth shut.” To earn 1700 XP.
Finding Erfyr
Now go to Erfyr, he is the author of the letter. When you tell him about the letter, he will ask you what you will do with the information. Select the option “I’ll keep it to myself.” And he will reward you with 1700 XP.
