Broken Bonds Quest Guide: Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

The Broken Bonds quest in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a story mission that tells you to rescue Ri’nela and uncover the tension between her and Nor. In this quest, you’ll explore a dangerous cave, follow through The Ravines, and witness key story moments through cutscenes. This guide will walk you through each step so you know where to complete the quest.

Broken Bonds Quest Guide

Make your way through The Ravines until you spot the cave entrance. Once you’re inside, explore the cave carefully and look for Nor and Ri’nela. You’ll need to climb your way up by making a few careful jumps, using the vines, and running along narrow ledges. Just keep following the yellow marker; it shows you the correct path. As you move forward, a cutscene will start on its own.

Navigating the Cave

Inside the cave, you find Ka’sem from the Mangkwan Warband with Ri’nela. Ka’sem breaks her bow and starts choking her, putting her life in serious danger. You quickly pull out a bow, aim at Ka’sem, and are about to fire to save Ri’nela. Before you can release the arrow, a gunshot echoes through the cave. Ka’sem is hit and goes down instantly. The shot was fired by Nor, who was positioned elsewhere in the cave with a clear view.

Leaving the Cave

Once the cutscene ends and the danger is over, your next goal is to leave the cave with Nor and Ri’nela. Start heading back through Crying Grotto toward the exit, following the same route.

As you make your way out, you’ll overhear Nor and Ri’nela talking to each other. Keep following the marker until you reach the cave exit and step back outside into The Ravines. When you’re out of Crying Grotto with both of them, another cutscene will play. In this final scene, So’lek realises that Nor and Ri’nela need some time alone to sort out their feelings. He steps away and gives them the space they need. With that, the Broken Bonds quest comes to an end.
