Black Myth Wukong: The Journeyer’s Charts

In Black Myth: Wukong, the game gives you helpful tools to make exploring and fighting even more fun. One of these is the Journeyer’s Chart, a special map that unlocks as you play. It not only helps you keep track of important spots like fast travel points, but it also opens up extra challenges where you can go back and fight old bosses in new ways. Here’s a quick guide on how these charts work and what you can do with them.

The Journeyer’s Charts in Black Myth Wukong

When you reach your first Keeper Shrine in the Black Wind Mountain region, you will automatically get the Journeyer’s Chart for that area. This chart gives you a detailed map and marks all the Keeper Shrines you have already discovered. The first one is completely free, but if you want Journeyer’s Charts for other regions later on, you will need to spend some Will to get them.

There are two types you can try out: Return of Rivals and Gauntlet of Legends. Both of these let you face enemies you’ve already beaten before, giving you a chance to take them on again. On the Journeyer’s Chart, the only icons you will see are the fast travel points. These are super handy because they let you instantly travel between places you’ve already unlocked, saving you a lot of backtracking.

Return of Rivals focuses on straight-up one‑on‑one battles. You can pick any past opponent you have beaten and challenge them again, choosing from three different difficulty levels. Gauntlet of Legends is a bit tougher. Here, you will fight a series of returning enemies, some even have new moves one after another.

The difficulty depends on special curses you can set to make things easier or harder. If you manage to clear a gauntlet, you will earn rare rewards. One important thing to remember: you can only challenge enemies in these modes if you have already beaten them in the main game.
