Best Secret Trinkets in Grounded 2

In Grounded 2, trinkets are small items that give you special powers or boosts when you wear them. Some are easy to find, while others are hidden, drop from enemies, or need to be unlocked in special ways. These trinkets can help you fight better, carry more stuff, stay alive longer, or explore the world more easily. Picking the right trinket for your playstyle can make a big difference. This guide covers the most important secret trinkets in the game and how they can help you on your adventure.

Most Important Secret Trinkets

The Most Important Secret Trinkets in Grounded 2 are mentioned below. There are loads of other trinkets that drop randomly from enemies or certain resources. Almost every bug has its unique trinket. Keep in mind, drop rates are low, so crafting stuffed bugs might help boost your chances.

Nifty Needle Trinket

If you’re going for a bow build early in Grounded 2, the Nifty Needle trinket is a must-have. You unlock it by analysing a thistle needle, which you can get right at the beginning of the game. Just look for those tall plants with bright pink flowers, then grab the needles, analyse one, and you are good to go. Once crafted at the workbench, this trinket boosts the damage of fully charged bow shots. Great for staying safe while picking off bugs from a distance, especially the stinkier ones. You can find them pretty early on in the game, especially around the Snackbar Front area.

Sturdy Shell Trinket

Down in the southwest of Brook Hollow Park, you will find acorns, a super useful resource for crafting and building. When you analyse an acorn shell, you will unlock the recipe for the Sturdy Shell trinket. It reduces friendly fire damage from teammates and increases your aggro, meaning enemies are more likely to target you. It’s ideal if you are the one taking hits for your team.

Astonishing Acid Trinket

To make this trinket, you will need acid glands, which drop from larvae and red soldier ants. Larvae are pretty common and can even be dug up if you hear rustling in dirt piles. Once you’ve crafted and equipped the Astonishing Acid, it buffs the final hit in your three-hit combo, making it deal extra damage. It works best with fast weapons like daggers, but is a solid pick for any melee build if you like finishing combos.

O.R.C. Nullifier Trinket

This one shows up during the main story. The ORC Nullifier weakens ORC enemies by lowering their damage for a short time after you hit them. It’s not something you will use all the time, but during Mixer events, where you get swarmed by waves of ORC bugs, it helps.

Volatile Capacitor Trinket

It is probably the strongest trinket in the game right now. To unlock it, you will need to reach Brain Power level 9, which means analysing nearly every item in the game. But the reward is worth it. The Volatile Capacitor adds shock damage to all your melee hits, and if you’re fighting ORC enemies, your charged attacks explode in an AoE blast. This trinket hits hard, especially in big fights.

Myrmecologist Token Trinket

This token is tied to the main story and found near a dead NPC at the Snack Bar Ant Hill. The Myrmecologist Token boosts your damage against ants, but it comes at a cost; it lowers your resistance to damage. So it’s risky, but if you’re farming ants, it does the job.

Eco Exploitation Token Trinket

This one’s hidden deep in the Spider Dead Ant Hill, way up north in the park. After you grab the Crimson Avenger weapon, keep going until you find a dead soldier in a small alcove. Loot him to get the Eco Exploitation Token, which lets you carry more but makes you deal less damage to spiders. Handy for hauling resources, but don’t wear it while bug-hunting.

Roach Rage Trinket

You will get this from defeating General Berserker, a unique boss tied to the main story. Only one player in co-op can loot it. When equipped, the Roach Rage boosts your damage when you are low on health and have recently been hit. It’s risky, but can be clutch if you know how to survive at low HP.

Stabby Stinger Trinket

Dropped by the large Northern Scorpions, this trinket adds venom damage to the third hit in your combo. Since it relies on fast combos, it’s best paired with quick weapons like daggers. You can find Northern Scorpions in the Statue Gardens, just outside the Ranger Outpost: Flower Beds. They also show up in a few other spots across the map. One place to check is northeast of the Picnic Table, near the border with the Fire Pit.

Shivering Scale Trinket

Dropped from blue butterflies, the Shivering Scale adds a chill effect to charged melee attacks. Once an enemy is fully chilled, they freeze temporarily. It’s awesome for crowd control, no matter what weapon you are using.

Fancy Fletching Trinket

Found by harvesting feathers with Tier 2 tools. The Fancy Fletching trinket speeds up bow charge time, which means more arrows flying and higher DPS. If you love using bows, you will want this. Crow Feather Pieces are collected by harvesting Crow Feathers, which are dropped by the giant Crow you will see around the yard. Just find a feather and break it apart to gather the pieces which are useful for crafting.

Suspicious Mint Trinket

Sometimes, drops when you harvest fresh mint. When equipped, it adds fresh damage to your melee attacks, especially effective against stink bugs, mosquitoes, and anything weak to fresh-type damage. Mint Shards come from those big mints you will see scattered around the world. To break them and collect the shards, you will need to upgrade your Omni-Hammer to level 2. Once you have the right tool, smash them open to grab the minty pieces inside.

Spectacular Spicy Shard Trinket

Found while harvesting spicy candy, this trinket adds spicy damage to all your melee hits. It’s perfect for building a spicy damage loadout, especially since many enemies (like the wolf spider) are weak to it. Spicy Shards are a resource you get by breaking apart Spicy Candy. You can also sometimes find them as loot when digging up Buried Treasure, so keep an eye out while exploring.

Fluffy Dandelion Tuft

You might randomly get this while harvesting dandelions. It gives you infinite use of the dandelion glider, which is super handy for exploring or when you are stuck up high. Not the strongest trinket, but a great quality of life tool. You can find Dandelions all over Brookhollow Park, but the easiest spot to get them is near the Snackbar Front. It’s one of the first places you will come across when you start exploring the park, so it’s a great place to stock up early on.

Blistering Boiler Trinket

Dropped by Bombardier Beetles, this trinket adds a blast wave of sizzling damage to the final hit in your combo. It’s effective when fighting multiple enemies. These medium-sized bugs have green backs and aren’t too hard to deal with, but watch out, they spit acid that causes a sizzling effect. A good place to find a couple of them is near the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar.

Cleaving Claw Trinket

This one is very rare and comes from the Praying Mantis Nymph, a tough Tier 3 enemy. It boosts your critical hit chance with two-handed weapons against low-health enemies. Also, a great boss killer. You will find this in the area where the Ceremony, Grass Games, and Statue regions all come together.

Everlasting Hogstopper Trinket

This trinket drops from hot dogs you can harvest using Tier 2 tools. The Everlasting Hogstopper slowly refills your hunger bar, so you don’t have to worry about eating. Perfect for long sessions where you just want to explore or fight without micromanaging food. Billy Hog Bites are a food item you can get by harvesting Billy Hogs. They are a handy snack and can also be used as a resource for crafting or cooking. Just find a Billy Hog and break it apart to collect the bites.
