Best Assault Rifle BO6 – Tier List

In Black Ops 6, you have seven different assault rifles, more than any other weapon class. Each rifle is its own strengths and weaknesses to create a level playing field where every gun is useful. But if you are looking for the absolute best, you will find only a few that are very different from the rest. Even though we have listed the best Assault Rifle you can choose any rifles that suits your playstyle.

1. XM4

The XM4 continues to be a popular assault rifle in Black Ops 6 because it excels in a wide range of combat situations. While it might not be the absolute fastest at killing enemies, it fires incredibly quickly, and its bullets travel very fast, making it highly competitive.

It still performs well in medium and long distances, but it still does its job close up. Versatility is an attribute that enables you to play aggressively or strategically, which suits different play styles. The low recoil of the XM4 also makes it easier to control while eliminating enemies accurately.

2. KRIG C

If you’re looking for a gun that’s good at nearly everything, the Krig C might be an excellent choice. It packs a serious punch and shoots bullets really fast, but fires rather slowly at all sorts of distances. Whether you are sniping from distance or getting up close and personal, the Krig C delivers consistently. To make it even better, you can customize it with attachments that will increase its speed, rate of firing, and stability. With a bigger magazine, you can take down multiple enemies without reloading as often. In total, the Krig C is a top-of-the-line weapon.

3. MODEL L

The Model L is a really strong assault rifle in Black Ops 6. It hits hard, and you can quickly switch from running to shooting, which is crucial in firefights. It has minimal recoil, so it’s easy to aim, and the bullets travel very fast, making it kill enemies in a very short time. It is effective in various situations. The Model L has a large magazine, so you can eliminate several enemies without constantly reloading. However, it takes a bit longer to reload and doesn’t fire as rapidly as some other assault rifles. Despite these minor drawbacks, the Model L is a well-balanced and effective weapon that will serve you well in any combat scenario.

4. AS VAL

The AS VAL stands out as one of the most remarkable weapons within Black Ops 6, owing to its extremely fast firing rate as well as the speed of traveling bullets. This makes it a very quick eliminator for enemies. Though it does all right on medium and long distances, the AS VAL really flourishes in close quarters. The speed at which its bullets travel gives your opponent hardly any time to react, making it ideal for an aggressive playstyle.

With attachments there is an  increase in magazine size so as not to run out of ammunition in a strong fire exchange and enhances other areas of the weapon for optimal performance. With this, you are guaranteed to excel on all maps and handle many different combat scenarios; thus, this AS VAL becomes a great powerful, versatile gun for any player.

6. AMES 85

The AMES 85 is the best all-around assault rifle in Black Ops 6. It has incredible range and kills enemies very quickly. It feels like an upgraded version of the XM-4, with more damage per second, less recoil, faster bullets, and slightly better movement speed.

The iron sights on the AMES 85 are probably the most easy to use for any assault rifle. Often you will not even need a scope attached, which makes its overall performance flawless on all maps at any distance. With an added extended magazine, it can down a lot of enemies before requiring reloading.

6. AK-74

The AK-74 is one of the most iconic assault rifles in Call of Duty, and for good reason; it packs a punch and handles well. It’s versatile, does not need to be tweaked much, and is pretty easy to kill enemies from afar. It actually fires fast, too, and bullets travel very fast, so it’s that much more effective at long range.

It improves its accuracy significantly, allowing you to hit targets precisely at long distances. The maps in Black Ops 6 are small, but the versatility of the AK-74 ensures you’re ready for any combat situation, be it close quarters or long-range engagements.

7. GPR 91

The GPR 91 is easy to aim, but it’s not very powerful overall. It’s good for finishing off enemies who are already injured because it’s very quick to aim down the sights. However, it takes a long time to kill enemies compared to other assault rifles, making it difficult to win in sudden firefights.

In fact, the GPR 91 is probably the only assault rifle that consistently loses in medium-range fights against other assault rifles. Since it’s hard to significantly improve its slow kill time with attachments, you’ll often rely on surprising enemies or attacking them from the side to get kills, which isn’t the most reliable strategy.

8. GOBLIN MK 2

The Goblin Mk2 is a bit of an oddball among assault rifles. It’s more like a semi-automatic rifle, meaning it fires one bullet at a time. This gives it the highest damage per shot and the least recoil of any assault rifle in Black Ops 6, but it also fires incredibly slowly.

The Goblin Mk2 has some extreme qualities, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a good assault rifle. While it can kill quickly with a single shot, hitting a moving target is extremely difficult, especially in tight spaces. Its slow firing rate is a major drawback, making it almost unusable on some smaller and medium-sized maps.
