Battlefield 6 – Top M277 Loadout

The M277 is the first assault rifle you’ll have access to in Battlefield 6, and it’s a monster once fine-tuned. It’s consistent at close and medium ranges, and with the ideal configuration, you can crisp its recoil management and enhance handling to make it among the most well-rounded rifles in your inventory.

Below, we’ll go over the best attachments to reduce recoil, improve reload speed, and bring out the M277’s full potential, along with a few tradeoffs to keep in mind.

Best Way to Reduce Recoil for the M277

The aim here is to reduce recoil and increase reload speed without compromising too much mobility. The M277 already packs a punch — only four shots to the torso kill — so better control keeps you coming out on top of midrange engagements.

The only significant disadvantage is reduced hipfire accuracy past 20 meters, but that’s simply balanced out by the better ADS control you’ll enjoy for up to 70 meters.

Suggested Attachments

Consider this configuration as fine-tuning a well-balanced machine — each component you adjust brings the M277 that much closer to laser-like accuracy. Here’s how to construct a variant of the rifle that remains stable, reloads quickly, and feels like a dream.

Muzzle – Compensated Brake (20 pts)

Begin with control. The Compensated Brake smoothes out recoil and prevents your aim from climbing off target. It’s a precision player must.

Unlocked at Mastery 28 — in the meantime, the Linear Comp is a decent backup.

Barrel – 16″” Custom Heavy Extended (10 pts)

This barrel makes your M277 a consistent long-range shooter. It increases sustained accuracy and even enhances hipfire slightly, but you’ll notice it in your movement speed.

Underbarrel – 6H64 Vertical Grip (25 pts)

The stability sauce. It decreases your aim speed somewhat, but the payoff is well worth it — recoil plummets, allowing for much easier bursts and full-auto fire.

Scope – NGFC LPVO Variable 1–5x (25 pts)

Stay one step ahead of your surroundings with this two-range scope. Switch between 1x for close-quarters battles and 5x for extended sightlines without losing your focus once.

Prefer quickness over range? Switch to the SDO 3.50x for quicker ADS and movement.

Magazine – 20rnd Fast Mag (10 pts)

Seconds count in a firefight. This mag shortens your reload time so that you can get back into the fight before the other guy has a chance to respond.

Ammunition – FMJ (5 pts)

Stick with tradition. FMJ rounds give you steady performance without the recoil penalties associated with more exotic types of ammo. Steady, reliable, lethal.

Ergonomics – Magwell Catch (5 pts)

Couple this with the Fast Mag for the ultimate reload combination — it reduces your reload time from 2.384s to 1.985s. With milliseconds determining victory, this combination provides you with that crucial advantage.

Optional Add-ons:

If you have spare points, the 5 MW Red Laser can slightly improve hipfire accuracy without being overly detectable. The Flashlight is situational — useful at the start for stunning foes, but you’ll probably drop it later when your aim takes over.
