Battlefield 6 – Guide to Earning XP Faster

The progression system in Battlefield 6 sticks closely to the formula that longtime players will recognize. You’ll still need to level up to unlock weapons, gadgets, and cosmetics, and most of the tried-and-true methods for gaining XP in past games still work here.

Every action you do in multiplayer, from securing points to respawning a buddy, adds to your XP count. But in case you need to rank up fast, a bit of planning does everything. This tutorial breaks down the best ways to gain XP in Battlefield 6.

How to Get XP Fast in Battlefield 6

Although buying kills and assists is the easiest method of gaining XP, they are not necessarily the optimal choice. The actual secret to achieving leveled up quickly is to play your role and help your team. Every class has their unique way of gaining additional XP other than killing.

  • Assault: Focus on pushing objectives and staying in the thick of combat. You’ll rack up XP for kills and for helping capture or defend control points.
  • Support: Drop health and ammo packs whenever possible, and revive fallen teammates to keep your squad active. Support players often earn some of the highest XP totals per match.
  • Engineer: Fix friendly vehicles and blow up enemy tanks with explosives or rockets. Repair or vehicle kill gives lots of XP.
  • Recon: Use your spotters to spot enemies and cover for teammates from a distance. Spotted alone can give a certain amount of XP.

Being excellent at your class role also rewards Accolades — in-game achievements that took the place of the old Ribbon system. These give bonus XP for achieving things like racking up multiple kills in quick succession, helping out your teammates, or playing towards objectives. The more Accolades you get, the quicker you’ll level up.

Best Means of Getting XP Quickly

If you must get XP consistently, one class rules them all: Support.

Reviving an ally gives almost as much XP as killing an enemy, and as Support players can also heal and resupply teammates, you’re getting points for just keeping your guys alive. You want to get close to the fight but not in the exact center of it — crouch behind cover where you can heal and revive without being hurt.

You also earn Suppression Assists for killing enemy your team later takes out. Even without firing the killing shot, that added stress cumulates as more XP per game.

For grinding XP, Breakthrough is the winner in game modes. It naturally flows players through chokepoints, resulting in constant battles where Assault and Support players can perform well. Manhattan Bridge and Siege of Cairo maps are especially great choices because they feature small, centered combat areas.

Don’t forget to do your weekly and daily challenges too, though. They give tons of XP for doing basic things such as revives, kills, or captures, so they are one of the simplest methods of gaining progress.

Leveling Up through Battlefield Portal

Portal mode in Battlefield 6 provides great places to farm XP — provided that you play on the right servers.

Player-to-player Portal games grant max XP reward, and community servers usually have custom “XP farm” game modes turned on for rapid leveling. Look in the server browser on a regular basis for those, but be careful to avoid the “Modified XP” tag — this means XP rewards have been lowered.

Portal modes that blend that proportion of AI bots and human participants also reward overall XP, although bots are replaced by actual players later on with the progression of the game. Blended lobbies work best if you seek non-stop action without the pandemonium of whole public games.

Portal is also an excellent area to farm weapon XP or finish certain class challenges, particularly if you are the kind of player who would like to have a more peaceful atmosphere for grinding.
