Battlefield 6: All Recon Class Challenges Explained

Recon continues to be an extremely valuable class in Battlefield 6, allowing players to spot enemies, set traps, and achieve kills from long distances. You will be able to unlock the full potential of this class by finishing Recon Class and Specialist challenges that offer important gadgets and unique cosmetics. Whether it be spotting enemies, perfectly executing headshots, or utilizing gadgets, this guide will break down every objective you need to accomplish in order to be an elite Recon player.

How to Unlock Recon Gadgets and Rewards

Access to Recon challenges will be available once you reach Rank 20 in multiplayer. There are two steps, beginning with Recon Class Challenges, the tougher Recon Specialist Challenges become available after completing the first set.

Recon Class Challenge 1

To begin, you will need to locate 250 enemies in objective areas with Recon gadgets while getting 10,000 total score. This assignment is purely observation-based—you will have to drop the Motion Sensors and just continually tag enemies around the capture points to assist your team in pushing objectives.

Rewards include C4 Explosives (Demolition Charge) Gadget & First Recon Badge. Once this is done, you’ll finally unlock C4, a crucial explosive for area control and vehicle takedowns.

Recon Class Challenge 2

Next up is testing your accuracy. You will want to obtain 50 headshots on enemies at 150 meters or farther while playing as Recon. This is definitely one of the more difficult objectives, so make sure to use a Range Finder to judge how far away the target, and also practice your timing on larger open maps.

Rewards include Spec Ops Training Path, Spec Ops Preset & Second Recon Badge. This challenge helps sharpen your sniping precision while earning you some stylish Spec Ops unlocks.

Recon Class Challenge 3

This one is a bit creative. Deploy your Sniper Decoy to attract enemies into shooting at it—you will need to entice 30 enemies to shoot your decoy. Placement is important! Place it somewhere safe but still visible enough so it doesn’t get destroyed immediately.

Rewards include Head Count Player Card Icon, Dead Eye Character Patch & Third Recon Badge. Once this is complete, you’ll not only improve your deception game but also collect some cosmetic rewards that highlight your Recon mastery.

Recon Specialist Challenges

After completing the first three, you’ll unlock the Recon Specialist set. These challenges demand more patience but also reward you with powerful gadgets and high-end cosmetics.

Recon Specialist 1

This mission advances your spotting skills. You are required to tag 300 enemies in objective zones, while also achieving a total score of 40,000. As for preferred game modes for locating enemies, Conquest on larger maps is suggested as you’ll be able to tag a good amount of enemies to mark.

Rewards include TRCRV2 (Tracer Dart) Gadget & Fourth Recon Badge. The Tracer Dart is an essential tool for vehicle marking—great for helping your squad lock onto enemy armor with ease.

Recon Specialist 2

In this scenario, you need to laser designate targets that will add to a total of 2,000 damage, as well as mark 25 vehicles with your Tracer Dart. It’s rather team dependent because you need team mates to follow up with rockets and explosives for the damage to count.

Rewards include Recon Mission Player Card Background. This challenge emphasizes coordination—your marks make it easier for teammates to bring down enemy vehicles.

Recon Specialist 3

The final assignment seriously tests your Recon skills. In a single match, you have to land 10 headshot kills from over 200 meters and inflict a total of 3,000 damage with Demolition Charges or Anti-Personnel Mines.

Rewards include Rain Wrapped Character Skin (NATO), Dead Sight Character Skin (Pax Armata), Silent Strike Player Card Title & Fifth Recon Badge. This one is the ultimate showcase of precision and explosive skill because once completed, you’ll earn some of the most impressive cosmetics in the Recon category.

Tips for Faster Completion

If you’re looking to speed up progress:

  • Play larger maps like Liberation Peak to maximize spotting and sniping opportunities.
  • Position your gadgets smartly—Motion Sensors near objectives, Decoys near sightlines.
  • Tweak your settings for better long-range control, especially your scope sensitivity and zoom level.
  • Communicate with your squad when designating targets so they can capitalize on your marks.
