The Assault class in Battlefield 6 is where you’ll find the classic, fast-paced, frontline action that the community loves, with new gadgets, upgrades, and even greater rewards. Every completed challenge earned through the progression system unlocks better gear, gadgets, and cosmetics, and every bonus unlocked makes your Assault loadout even better. This guide breaks down all Assault class challenges and Assault Expert challenges, requirements, and the best approaches to completing the challenges quickly to maximize rewards and maintain battlefield advantage.
How to Unlock the Assault Challenges

Once you hit Rank 20 in multiplayer, you’ll be able to access the first set of Assault challenges in the game. The first challenge is entitled “A Good Start” and asks you to gain 10,000 score and get 30 kills while using the Adrenaline Injector. When you finish this, you will earn a QLink 6 Deploy Beacon, which is a portable spawn point for you and your squad to utilize and try to get back into the action.
The second challenge leans more toward teamwork. You’ll need 50 squadmates to spawn using your Deploy Beacon, and you must get 20 kills or assists on concussed enemies. Completing it unlocks the Frontliner Training Path, a subclass that improves movement and boosts health recovery, giving you more flexibility on the field.
The third and final standard challenge is all about grenades — deal 2,000 damage with them to earn a player card icon and a character patch.
To finish these faster, stick to the Assault class during matches and use your gadgets as soon as they unlock. Big, objective-focused maps like Conquest are great for completing all three efficiently.
Moving On to the Assault Expert Challenges

Once you’ve wrapped up the first three, you’ll unlock the Assault Expert tier. These come with tougher requirements but much better rewards.
The first Expert challenge requires 50 kills while contesting objectives and 40,000 score. Clearing it unlocks the SS26 Incendiary-Round Shotgun, a fiery gadget-exclusive shotgun that sets enemies — and even the ground — ablaze.
Next up, you’ll have to deal 5,000 damage using the SS26, which earns you a unique player card background.
The last Expert challenge asks for 100 kills or assists with the Grenade Launcher, along with 30 close-quarter kills in a single round. Complete it to get two new character skins and a player card title, showing off your Assault mastery.
Tips for Finishing Them Faster
The Expert challenges are usually easier to complete solo, since you don’t have to rely on your squad. Stick to smaller, fast-paced modes like Rush or Escalation, where close combat happens constantly.
If you play with an open weapon playlist, you can use non-Assault weapons for the close-range kills, which helps speed up progress. Focus on objectives and make good use of gadgets — that’s the best way to complete every Assault and Assault Expert challenge efficiently while earning all the rewards.
