Banzai’s Tools is a side quest introduced in Stalker 2’s Stories Untold that sends you scavenging through the Vehicle Graveyard and beyond in search of missing gear. This guide breaks down every stash location, clue, and puzzle solution, helping you secure both tool sets efficiently and complete the quest without unnecessary detours.
How to Start the Quest
Stalker 2’s Stories Untold update brings with it new quests, and one of them is the Banzai’s Tools quest. You start by talking to Banzai about the first tools. He’ll explain that there’s a big gig coming up for which Scoutmaster needs firepower. Agree to find the tools for him, and he’ll direct you to the coordinates for three stashes at the Vehicle Graveyard. However, there’s a catch—Banzai doesn’t know which stash contains the tools, so it’s up to you to find them.
Searching the Three Stashes
First Stash
To get to the first stash, start with the vehicle graveyard area marked on the map above. There, on top of a fuel tanker, you’ll find the stash. Upon searching, you’ll find that it’s empty. But you’ll find a piece of paper/note there (Note 2 “Heat”), Banzai will tell you that it must be a clue left behind for a customer, and asks you to keep it safe.
Second Stash
You’ll find the second stash in the vehicle graveyard. Head to the location shown on the map above and search between the vehicles to find the second stash. This too will be empty, but you’ll find another note (Note 3 “Order”) here for safekeeping.
Third Stash
The third stash, you’ll find on the engine of a truck, and this too will be empty. You’ll find another note (Note 1 “Location”) here, which will act as a clue to the tools stash’s location. Putting all three clues together will lead you to your destination which is a house with the white mark.
How to Actually Get the Tools Stash
Head to the location marked on the map above, and you’ll come across a brick house with a green door, which will be locked. But don’t worry, go towards the back and you’ll find a white door that’s open. Enter through it, and you’ll come across a door that requires a four-digit code. Banzai will help you with this one and crack the code for you—it’s 0-1-8-3.
Once you’re through the door, you’ll find a blue colored safe sitting right in front of you; open it and get the tools. Once done, return to Banzai and hand over the tools to him.
Getting the Second Tools for Banzai
He’ll again ask you for help, and assign you to get a second set of tools. He’ll explain to you how he has given up radio and is learning to fix gears for which he needs better tools.
He’ll tell you about his plans on how he’ll install an awesome scope for Scoutmaster and craft some more tools to sell to Rascal. Banzai will provide you with directions, telling you how there’s a stash at the C-2 Boiler House.
Finding the second set is pretty easy, you just need to go inside the house and take a right, then left, and you’ll come across an opening that leads down to a room. Be careful, as there are enemies present there but they’re pretty easy to deal with. Going down there is optional if you wish to eliminate all sorts of threats.
The tool that you’re looking for is actually sitting on top of a desk near a broken window inside a blue colored room. Once you’ve got the tool, head back to Banzai and hand over the tools to him. It’s worth noting though that you’ll get the option to either simply hand over the Calibration tools to him or ask him about what’s new around the zone. If you hand over the tools to him, he’ll be thankful to you and ask you to swing by in the near future, and with this, the quest will conclude.
