Basically, if you free Sapadal, you’re heading towards the happier endings. If you choose to destroy her, things get a lot more sad and gloomy.

Alright, so essentially, if you’re looking for a happy ending in Avowed, releasing Sapadal is the way to go. That god’s been through a lot, suffering and alone. Releasing them is the nicest thing you can do.

As a prize, you’ll receive this fantastic ability named “Sapadal’s Fury.” Just think about sprouting additional hands, like Sapadal, to grab foes, hoist them up, and then dash them down! It’s incredibly strong, but it drains tons of energy, so don’t abuse it.

Later, after a big quest, you’ll see how your choice affected the world. Sapadal, finally free, gets to experience the world again through your eyes. They’re curious and want to understand everything. They even try to make things better for the people living there. And when you talk about the plague, you can tell them it’s over, that the cause is at peace. It’s a really satisfying and positive outcome.

Should You Kill Sapadal

So, going the opposite route and killing Sapadal? Yeah, that’s pretty much a guaranteed bad ending. You’re basically blaming them for everything, saying they caused the Dreamscourge and killed a bunch of people, and then you just… destroy them.

For doing that, you get this power called “Woedica’s Call.” It lets you summon this creature, a Maegfolc, to fight alongside you. It’s strong, but like the other power, it drains a lot of energy, so you’ll need to be prepared.

After a big battle, you’ll see the fallout from your decision. You’re free from Sapadal’s influence, but you still think about them sometimes, wondering if you did the right thing. And when people ask about the Dreamscourge, you have to tell them that it came from a lonely god that you killed. It’s a pretty bleak and remorseful outcome.
