In Avowed’s Paradis, the “Escape Plan” quest tasks you with aiding two Aedyrans, Leoflaed and Glaedwine, seeking refuge. You’ll gather crucial items, navigate Shantytown, and confront smugglers, ultimately deciding whether to fight or find a peaceful solution with Ilora’s help. Your choices will determine the refugees’ fate and test your moral compass.
How to Start the Escape Plan Quest
You’re in Liviana’s clinic, getting your bearings, and then you head outside to this courtyard called Paradis. That’s when Remei, someone you know, pulls you aside. She’s got something on her mind, and it turns out there are these two people from a place called Aedyr, and they’ve got a complicated history. Basically, they’re in trouble and need your help. If you agree, you’ll be on a mission to help them escape something, and that kicks off a whole side quest called “Escape Plan” in the game.
Thirdborn Land Deeds & Ondra’s Kiss Plant Location
Alright, so before you dive into the Shantytown to meet these two Aedyrans who need your help, it’s smart to grab a couple of things first.
First up, you need these “Thirdborn Land Deeds.” You can find them in the Artisan’s District in Paradis City. Just follow the marker on your map, and you’ll find them on a body..
Next, you’re looking for a plant called “Ondra’s Kiss.” You’ll have to head outside the city walls to find this one. Once you’ve got both items, you’re ready to head to Shantytown. Follow the quest marker, but be prepared for a bit of climbing! You’ll need to go up some stairs and use a nearby roof to hop onto a balcony. That’s where you’ll find the two Aedyrans waiting.
Should You Confront the Smugglers

If you go to the smugglers’ hideout and Ilora isn’t there, Captain Soldis will ask if you’ve seen a Paradisan woman named Ilora. You can choose to lie about it, but either way, they’ll still demand payment for the deal between Leoflaed and Glaedwine.
If you refuse to pay and decide to fight the smugglers, it will trigger a battle, so make sure you’re ready for a tough fight. Honestly, attacking them might be the better option since getting that much money early in the game can be pretty challenging.
Get Help from IIora
The safest and most cost-effective choice is to side with Ilora, showing your support for her. If you freed Ilora at Fort Northreach during the “On Strange Shores” quest, she’ll be here to persuade her friend, Captain Soldis, to help smuggle Leoflaed and Glaedwine out for free. However, if you still choose to attack the smugglers despite Ilora’s presence, it will trigger a battle, so be ready for a fight.
Once you’ve dealt with the smugglers — or decided to report them — head back to Shantytown and talk to Leoflaed. Let her know how things went, and that will wrap up this side quest.
