Avowed’s Elder Offerings quest is a singular experience that combines exploration, fighting, and a sense of spirituality. Commissioned by Rossana, the woman who can be found at the Fior Mes Iverno homestead in Avowed’s Emerald Stair zone, the quest involves you laying food offerings on three gravestones to pay respects to the dead. Along the way, you’ll encounter perilous foes, make an important moral choice about pilfered food, and discover some secret lore about the world. Finishing the quest not only gains Rossana’s appreciation but also gives you Berath’s Blessed Ward, a precious trinket that mitigates damage from undead enemies.
Elder Offerings Quest
You can find Rossana at the Fior Mes Iverno settlement in the Emerald Stair region. She stands behind the bounty board near a tent and will assign you the Elder Offerings quest. This task involves placing food offerings at three different gravestones to honor the dead.
Before proceeding, you have the option to speak with Ilena, the grain merchant, at the Farmer’s Market. If you choose to return the stolen food, the quest will end early. However, if you decide to pay 100 Copper Skeyt, you can continue helping Rossana. While this step is optional, completing the full quest rewards you with a unique accessory.
Returning to Rossana
The first offering site is at Truffle Farm, located east of Fior Mes Iverno. Upon entering the graveyard, you’ll encounter Shadow Spirits and Decaying Skeleton Rangers guarding the area. Clearing out these enemies is necessary before you can interact with the gravesite. Once the area is safe, simply place the food offerings on the gravestone to complete the first step of the quest.
A Moment of Prayer
Next, head to the South Coast, where the second gravestone is located between Naku Tedek Grounds and Maxim’s Claim. When you arrive, you’ll need to descend a flight of stairs leading to the burial site. However, before reaching the gravestones, you may have to defeat a few enemies positioned above the staircase. Once you’re at the gravesite, Shadows and Decaying Skeleton Chanters will appear. Defeat them, then leave the food offerings to complete the second objective.
Berath’s Blessed Ward
The final destination is deep within the Swamp, the farthest and most challenging location. If you haven’t unlocked the fast travel point nearby, expect a long journey on foot. Unlike the previous sites, there isn’t a typical graveyard here.
Instead, you will need to locate a tomb. Before entering, clear out the Shadow Spirits and Skeletons patrolling the area. Once inside, place the food offerings on top of the burial stone to complete the last part of the Elder Offerings quest.
With all three offerings placed, return to Rossana to complete the quest and claim your reward. This journey across Avowed’s eerie landscapes is both a test of combat skills and a chance to uncover more about the region’s past.
Head back to Rossana at the Fior Mes Iverno settlement and let her know you have completed her request. She will be deeply grateful for your help and will ask you to join her in a prayer for the souls of the departed.
