Of all the Bamboo Strikes in Ghost of Yotei, Atago’s is unique in its twist. Located near the Oshima Coast entrance, it’s a seemingly curated Bamboo Strike that curates lightning strikes that occur during the Bamboo Strike, at random intervals. This guide will teach you how to turn off the lightning hazard, complete the strike safely, and earn the Spirit boost for Atsu with ease.
Stopping the Lightning at the Atago Bamboo Strike
The lightning is activated by the weapons stuck into the ground around the Bamboo Strike. To fix this issue, go up to the two katanas and four yaris lying around in the area, and pick those up. Then, toss them away from the area since those weapons are the cause behind the lighting. You can throw them away in any direction; as long as they’re away from the Bamboo Strike, it’s good. Once you have gotten rid of all the weapons, the lighting will cease, and you can finish the challenge without being interrupted.
Completing the Bamboo Strike
Like every other Bamboo Strike in Ghost of Yotei, the Atago challenge has three preset stages. The input sequences for each are:
- Stage 1 – X, Square, L1
- Stage 2 – X, Square, L1, Square, Triangle
- Stage 3 – X, Square, L1, Square, Triangle, L1, Circle
Finishing this challenge grants a boost to Atsu’s Spirit, along with the satisfaction of solving one of the game’s trickier environmental puzzles. It’s a clever test of observation and timing that rewards patience and attention to detail.
