Armored Transports in Arc Raiders will definitely test your patience, risk management, and presence of mind, as they throw you into an intense situation. Assigned by Tian Wen, this quest is on the more intense side, blending exploration, combat, and high-stakes strategy. The objective of the quest is to acquire the Armored Patrol Key Card and then use it on the car, which is located in a challenging location.
This sounds simple at first glance, but the unpredictable spawns and PvP danger zones make this quest significantly more formidable. However, it is all worth it because the key gives you access to high-tier loot!

How to Start
As you progress into Tian Wen’s questline, you’ll unlock the Armored Transport quest. Speak to her in order to start the quest and make sure your loadout is perfectly balanced for mobility, close combat, and long-range combat. Keep your storage free for the key, since the entire quest revolves around it.
How to Complete Armored Transports
Now that you have started the quest and checked your loadout, let’s dive into the walkthrough!
Find the Armored Patrol Key Card

The key card is central to this quest. Community reports place its spawn in the Checkpoint area across the raid maps. Once you find it, it’ll appear in your inventory as the Armored Patrol Key Card.

Now that you have the key, your next objective is to find the armored car. Travel to the Headhouse location and enter through the structure to descend to the abandoned tunnel below. Search the main road for a bit before stumbling upon the Armored Car.
Unlock the Car
Once you discover the car in the underground abandoned tunnel, use the keycard to unlock it. There are several instances of players being ambushed while looting the car, so be prepared for the unexpected!
Possible Spawn Locations for the Locked Patrol Car
There are several places where you can find the Locked Patrol Car. It doesn’t always spawn in the same spot, so you might need to check a few different areas. Here’s how to find it:
Start by checking the car near the entrance. Go around to the back and try the rear door. If it’s unlocked, it’s not the right one. In another raid, you might find it locked; that’s the one you’re looking for. Use your key to open it, and you will find a weapon key and possibly a green or blue-tier weapon. Loot everything inside to complete the quest.
If the first car isn’t the right one, head into the tunnel. There’s often another patrol car parked inside. Check its rear door. If it’s locked, then use your card to open it.
Keep moving inside the tunnel. Watch out for enemies like ARC drones, fireball pops, and sometimes even a Bastion. You will spot another patrol car; use your card to open it.
Now move to the opposite side of the road. The left side has some broken-down vehicles, so stay focused on the tunnel side. Near one of the pillars, you will find another patrol car.
Keep heading inside the tunnel. You will come across more patrol cars. Check the area marked on your map; the correct car might appear there.
Towards the far end of the tunnel, look for additional patrol car spawns. Sometimes you will find fuel trucks instead; the spawns are random every time you enter the raid.
Continue exploring around the tunnels. If you come across any patrol car with a locked rear door, that’s the one you need for the quest. Unlock it, get your loot, and you are done.
Extract Safely
After you are finished looting the car, it is time for a secure extraction. This is the most crucial part for any run, as a failed extraction can revert your progression to square one.
Armored Transports Quest Bug
If you die while holding the patrol car key, the game won’t give you another one because the quest permanently saves your progress at each step. This quest should be completed in one raid so it resets properly and lets you pick up a new key when you start over. Because of the bug, you basically get stuck and can’t finish the quest at all. You can find another key randomly in a drawer inside the destroyed house on the west side of the village, but it seems completely random, so don’t count on it always being there.
