ARC Raiders’ quest What Goes Around is a simple, yet clever, mission where players need to kill a burning mechanical enemy using the enemy’s own gun. While the mission may sound simple it will require some patience and clever timing. This article will show you where to find Fireballs, how to get Fireball Burners, and finally how to wrap up this mission as efficiently as possible.
Quest Objective
Your goal is simple: take out an Arc enemy or Fireball with the Fireball Burner. But the hard part is that you don’t get the weapon right away. You’ll need to take down some Fireballs first to get the Burners they drop, and only then can you perform the job to your liking.
Where to Find Fireballs
Fireballs can spawn in several locations, but the most consistent spot to encounter Fireballs is around the Research and Administration building in the southeastern part of the map. Often, there are multiple Fireballs found at this location, which is optimal if you don’t feel like going too far looking for them. Watch out for the rolling and glowing machines that emit fire every time you get closer to them, these are your targets.
Gathering Fireball Burners & Using Them
When you finally find them, it’s best to use the normal weapons you have to take some of the fire balls. Every enemy that you kill has the potential to drop a fireball burner (a throwable explosive that is able to create an explosion on impact).
What you’ll need to do is collect at least three or four of these burners before attempting the main task. Keep in mind that you’ll need to carry some extra burners so that you don’t run out of them quickly in case you miss your throws.
Now once you have the fireball burners with you, you’ll have to find a Fireball to take on and complete the objective. Fireballs are shaped like balls and can move pretty fast, and they spew fire on detecting any sort of threat toward them. The best bet would be to let it spot you and then start its assault, it will start unleashing streams of fire at you when you are in close proximity to it and this will be your signal to strike.
Throw two or three Burners directly at or close to the Fireball. The fire damage will eventually destroy the Fireball and complete the What Goes Around quest.
Important Note: Instead of a fireball, you can destroy any other Arc enemy to complete the quest. These could be Ticks, Pops etc. Simply engulf them in flames using a Fireball and you’ll be done.
Final Tips
If you run out of Burners, simply return to the Research and Administration area. Fireballs tend to respawn fairly quickly, allowing you to gather more items without wasting much time.
The quest might be brief, but it’s satisfying, especially since it lets you turn an enemy’s own weapon back on them.
