In The Outer Worlds 2, the An Aegis Against the Miasma quest will ask you to help the engineers at the ARC build a powerful shield to protect people from zyranium gas. To complete it, you’ll need to find a few special components and help Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant with her experiment. This guide walks you through, where to find the access pass, how to enter the Automech Repair Centre, and how to collect everything needed to finish the quest.
An Aegis Against the Miasma Quest Guide
To get inside the Automech Repair Center, you’ll first need an access pass. You can find it at the Ministry of Accuracy, which sits northwest of Fairfield. When you arrive, you’ll notice the area is under attack by raptidons, and the front gate is wide open with no guards around. Head inside and move toward the main building.
Once you’re in, look for Inez and talk to her she’ll only appear if this is your first visit. Behind her, you’ll find one unlocked door (the other stays sealed). Go through it, clear out the raptidons, and look for the Access Pass terminal on the second floor. Climb the ladder near the entrance, cross the rafters, and jump over to reach it. Use the terminal to print your ARC Pass.
With the pass in hand, travel east to the Automech Repair Center. Show it to the guards at the gate, and they’ll let you through without any fuss. Once inside, head toward the central courtyard to find Marshal Donelson. He’ll tell you about the zyranium gas issue and send you to Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant. Talk to her and offer to help with her experiment to start the quest.
Collect the Zyranium Sample
After speaking with Delphinia, head past the Marshal’s office until you find a thick cloud of zyranium gas. Step into the cloud and move in far enough until the prompt appears to collect a sample. Once you’ve got it, head back to Delphinia and give it to her.
She’ll then explain that the shield still needs one last part, a Catalytic Amplifier, to boost its power. To get it, leave the ARC and walk west along the beach. You’ll soon find a damaged Dragoon lying there. Search it to grab the amplifier, then return to Delphinia. She’ll install the part and finish building the shield, marking the end of the quest.
