An Aegis Against the Miasma Guide – The Outer Worlds 2

In Outer Worlds 2, there is a side mission called “An Aegis Against the Miasma,” which will lead the player to Euphoria Coast, where the deadliest miasma clouds are slowly surrounding Paradise Island, and the engineers are building a strong power shield to fight off the miasma. You will support Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant in the search for the rare materials and special parts that are needed for the successful completion of the device.

An Aegis Against the Miasma

To start the An Aegis Against the Miasma side quest, you first need to get into the Euphoria Coast Automech Repair Center on the east side of Eden’s Paradise Island. You can do this in two ways, either by having Engineering Level 3 or by getting an access pass, which you will automatically earn during the Saga of the Malfunctioning Mechanicals quest.

Speak With Marshal Donelson

Once you are inside, talk to Marshal Donelson. He will ask you to meet Chief Deviser Delphinia Bryant, who’s working in her lab just past the clinic. When you meet Delphinia, she will tell you that the new shield device is still being tested and needs a few final adjustments. If you agree to help her out, she will promise to give you one of the prototype shields as a reward.

Collect the Zyranium Sample

Head past the Marshal’s office to find a cloud of Zyranium. Step into the cloud and go deep enough until you see the prompt to collect a sample. Once you’ve gathered it, return to Delphinia and hand it over. Next, she will mention that the shield needs something to expand its protective field, a Catalytic Amplifier.

To find it, leave the ARC facility and walk west along the beach. You will come across a broken Dragoon, and you can take the amplifier from it. Bring it back to Delphinia, and she will finish building the shield, completing the quest.
