If you’re exploring the Horns of the South region in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, this area is full of powerful and unique gear that can help you in your journey. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the locations of all the best gear we’ve found so far, so you can get them for yourself.
All Unique Equipment Locations
These are the best and most unique items found throughout Horns of the South. Some may help you survive longer, others may help you in combat.
1. Shoes Of The Waning Moon


From your starting point, head through the gates and go north toward the bandit camp. You’ll find a passage here that leads to a druidic shrine. Look for some tents and a cooking pot, you’ll see a few tunnel entrances. Take the one heading east.
On the way, take out a corpse eater blocking your path. A little further along the road, you’ll find a fallen bandit holding the Swordmaster Ring. This ring increases your attack speed by +2.
Keep going and look for a buried treasure nearby. You’ll dig up a Novice Ring, which boosts mana regeneration by +1.
Before you leave, make an offering at the druidic altar. Use any animal part. A pair of Waning Shoes that give decent armor, increase movement speed, and even boost spell power.
2. Silent Weaver
Follow the road a bit further until you find an old obelisk. Circle around and you’ll find a dig spot. You will find the Silent Weaver Wand with 52 base damage, it reduces mana cost by 15%.
3. Leather Boots Of Roots


Next, head to the castle entrance, near the trader. Go right and climb the wooden stairs. Keep climbing until you reach Keeper Den. In the right-side tower, unlock the chest to find Leather Boots of Roots. These not only provide good armor, but they also immobilize enemies for 5 seconds after a hit. Usable once per minute.
4. Hunting Trousers and Soulstone


Climb the highest tower of the castle (marked on the map above) to find two treasures. First, grab the Soulstone Amulet, which can be charged by defeating 10 enemies. Once charged, it fully restores health and mana. Then, at the very top, find the Hunting Trousers. They reduce dash stamina cost when using a bow.
5. Parrying Gauntlets


Not far from the walls is a massive bandit camp. Look near the cooking pot and tents inside a crate, you’ll find Parrying Gauntlets. These give you more time to parry.
6. Swift Dagger


At the Forgotten Cemetery, go left from the entrance. Among the crypts is a digging spot. You’ll find the Swift Dagger. It deals +25% damage after dashing.
7. The Lightning


From that same cemetery, enter the main crypt. Get the key from the quartermaster, open the gate, and head left. Climb carefully and find a hidden spot with The Lightning, a two-handed hammer with a 20% chance to call down lightning on every strike.
8. Hexed Bow


Next, climb the Ancient Wizard’s Tower. At the top, open the chest to get the Hexed Bow. Each arrow from this bow deals +5 magical damage.
9. Hammer of Stupefaction and Perilous Orb


Head north to the excavation site, but there’s a powerful augur here. After defeating it, loot the chest for a Hammer of Stupefaction (20% chance to stun enemies). Then climb the nearby tower for the Perilous Orb, which increases your critical hit chance.
10. Aegis of Retribution


On a nearby island, explore the wreck of Andrae. Among the randomized loot, you’ll find the Aegis of Retribution, a shield with a 30% chance to reflect damage back to attackers.
11. Doombringer
Then dive into the underwater passage nearby to find the Doombringer Hammer, which deals double damage to staggered enemies.
12. Eclipse Shard


On the nearby shore, raid the Smuggler’s Camp. Inside the chest, grab the Eclipse Shard, a sword that applies your next attack twice after a successful parry.
13. Spiteful Arch and Camouflage Net


Inside a ruined filled with bandits, search the second floor for the Spiteful Arch, a bow that blinds enemies on sneak attacks.
Then, climb to the cliff above to find a camouflage net that boosts ranged crit chance by 10%.
14. Druidic Armor Set


Visit the Redcap settlement near the shore. Inside one of the huts, follow the bloody trail to a chest containing the full Druidic Set gloves, boots, mask, robe, and pants.
15. Sveinn Battleaxe


Continue along the shore to find another buried treasure. Inside, you may find the Sveinn Battleaxe, a two-hander that increases physical damage by 25%, though it does lower your mana.
16. Hunting Jacket


In the abandoned village, take down the bandit leader boss wielding a massive sword and magic. After the fight, loot the nearby chest for the Hunting Jacket.
17. Thunderous Greatbow


Head to the Sunken Village, north of the castle. Go through the maze of wooden platforms and rooftops. At the top, you’ll find the Thunderous Greatbow and gloves. Then, carefully drop to a lower roof to grab a powerful amulet.
18. Oldsteel Sword


Swim from the shore beneath the All Mother’s Temple. You’ll spot a statue, and just in front of it is a cave. Head inside, and near the entrance, you’ll see two boats, the sword is lying right between them.
19. Abandoned Stronghold




Northern part of the region. This place is packed with loot. Each tower in the stronghold holds something unique, so be sure to check all of them.
- First Tower: Grab the Rogue Step item.

- A ring
- A good-quality shield
- A stamina-boosting item (permanently increases your stamina!)

20. Volcanic Tree Bow


At the northern edge of the map, near the Shrine of the Bear and an ancient cave. There’s a camp with a bonfire and two tents. Inside a chest near the fire, you’ll find the Volcanic Tree Bow. Even though the bow itself is average, any arrows fired from it will cause enemies to burn.
21. Heavy Gauntlets
From the campfire, head behind a nearby rock. Look for a slightly hidden chest behind it inside it you will find the Heavy Gauntlets. If you enjoy hand-to-hand combat, these gauntlets are a must.
22. Arcanist’s Sword


Just near the Shrine of the Bear, inside a hidden cave. Look for a cave entrance close to where you found the bow and gauntlets. Inside, head straight and in a chest inside, you’ll find the Arcanist’s Sword. It boosts your spell power by 10%.
23. Spellslinger’s Set


North of the Abandoned Train Hall, at an abandoned camp. At this camp, you’ll find a complete armor set designed for spellcasters.
Set Bonuses:
- Increased maximum mana
- Improved mana regeneration
- Boosted spell power (up to +30%)
24. Priestess Cape and Great Hummer of Stun


Across the bridge, northeast of the Spellslinger camp. This fog-filled place looks like a ruined shrine. You’ll find:
- A diggable chest with the Great Hammer of Stun. The hammer has a higher chance of stunning enemies.
- A priestess nearby holding the Priestess Cape. The cape helps regenerate mana faster
25. Blood Oath


On a small island in the middle of a large lake to the east. You’ll find a body and a sword. The Blood Oath sword is stuck there. It deals +100% bonus damage if the enemy is below 15% health.
