Totems of Rightful Rulership is one of the earliest exploration quests you can encounter in Avowed, and it stands out as a crucial side objective in Dawnshore. This quest revolves around collecting six artifacts of Woedica, the Burned Queen, which you must track and identify. These totems are more than just collectibles—they can be placed in your camp as a set to grant permanent bonuses, some of which can significantly impact gameplay.
As you collect these Totem fragments, they gradually restore the Scales of the Oathbinder, and acquiring all six grants six valuable bonuses that benefit every playstyle. However, these fragments are spread across the vast wilds of Dawnshore, making them challenging to locate. In this guide, we’ll highlight the exact locations of each Woedica Totem fragment to help you find any that may have you stuck.
All Totem Fragment Locations in Avowed
During the Totems of Rightful Rulership quest in Avowed, you’ll need to find the following Woedica Totem fragments:
- Scales of the Oathbinder (Totem Base) – Totem Base
- Broken Crown Jewel – The Power of Command: Activating a Companion Ability increases your damage for 5 seconds
- Golden Plaque of Oaths – The Queen’s Burden: +2 Intellect, +2 Resolve
- Golden Plaque of Promises – Noblesse Oblige: Reviving a Companion grants rapid health and essence regeneration
- Golden Flames – Flames of Resurrection: Second Wind casts Rings of Fire
- Golden Scale of Order – Swift Order: Reduces Companion Ability cooldown by 15%
- Golden Scale of Justice – Sympathy for the Damned: Critical hits deal high Fire Accumulation
Scales of the Oathbinder (Totem Base)

You can find the Totem Base in the Shrine to Woedica, located in the northeast corner of Dawnshore within the region known as The Rise. It rests on an altar at the centre of the shrine.
Broken Crown Jewel

The Broken Crown Jewel is located in Northern Paradis, a subregion of Paradis. To find it, head to Sanza’s Emporium. Behind the vendor, there is a door leading to the shop’s back room, where the jewel rests on a desk.
Golden Plaque of Oaths

You can find the Golden Plaque of Oaths in Usher’s Hand, located in the eastern part of Dawnshore, just outside Paradis. The area appears as a hand shape on the map. To reach it, jump down into the opening and dive into the water. Swim forward and emerge through a small grate to access a hidden room where the totem piece is located.
Golden Plaque of Promises
The Golden Plaque of Promises is located at the Lighthouse, just west of Calviger’s Landing. To reach the totem piece at the top, start at the base of the Lighthouse and follow a circular path around the building until you reach the summit.
Golden Flames
The Golden Flames are located on Castol’s Folly, the large island off the southern coast. After arriving at the island, start from the small camp on the northern tip and follow the path eastward. Near the ruins with an orange roof, look to the left for a small cliff you can navigate around—this is where you’ll find the totem piece.
Golden Scale of Order
The Golden Scale of Order is located in the Pargrun Cache, a set of ruins in the northern part of Dawnshore. To reach it, navigate to the top of the ruins by climbing platforms wherever possible. There’s no specific trick—just keep moving upward until you find a small cave off to the side, where the totem piece is hidden.
Golden Scale of Justice
This totem piece is located north of the Market District in Paradis, but you’ll need to start at the Apothecary’s Shop to the east. Make sure you have a way to burn spider-webs—either by bringing Kai or using a fire-based spell.
From there, jump up the ledge to the left and follow the path to the right until you reach a ledge. Jump down and over the scaffold ahead, then follow the dirt path left until you reach the edge with wooden boards leading right. Jump across to the balcony with a painting.
Enter the building and descend the ladder. The totem piece is in the back right of the room, past some enemies.
How to Use the Totem Fragments in Avowed
To activate the bonuses from Totem fragments in Avowed, you must place the Totem in your camp. This first requires obtaining the Totem base—specifically for Woedica, the Scales of the Oathbinder, which can be easily found at the Woedica Shrine.
Once you have the base, place it on the stone pedestal next to the cauldron in your camp. You can then insert the Totem fragments one by one. As you progress and find additional Totem bases in later areas, you can switch between them at your camp. However, only one Totem’s bonuses can be active at a time.
