Pop-Up Camps are a vital aspect of Monster Hunter Wilds, as they allow hunters to easily rest, resupply, and fast travel between regions. With 40 sites found throughout the game’s five regions, these camps are temporary bases that supply similar advantages to the Base Camp tent. But setting up a Pop-Up Camp must be done carefully, as they can be destroyed by monsters if placed in risky areas. To help you navigate the large maps of MH Wilds, this guide contains all the Pop-Up Camp locations, how to set them up, and tips on how to use them effectively.
Pop-up Camps in MH Wilds
Pop-Up Camps provide the same facilities as the Base Camp tent. You can utilize them to recharge your things, swap your gear, cook food, and more, and so they become a convenient place to rest on your hunt. Fast travel is also permitted through them, and this assists hunters in traversing the map very quickly. But watch out where you position them, if a camp is located in a threatening place, monsters can wreck it. To ensure that it is safe, be sure to install it in a safe place.
While there are multiple spots where you can establish Pop-Up Camps, you can only have four active at a time. If you want to set up a new one, you’ll need to remove an existing camp. Hunters can also personalize their Pop-Up Camps with customization options like different colors, patterns, chair styles, and even background music that plays when they arrive.
To manage your camps across different locales, visit Hazel, the Support Desk Palico. She can help you repair or remove camps, free up camp slots, check on camps in other regions, and provide information on each camp’s safety level to help you decide where to set up or relocate.

To set up your Pop-Up Camp in MH Wilds
First, look for a potential Pop-Up Camp location, which is marked on the map with a wooden sign featuring a tent. These spots are usually found along the edges of the map. Once you find one, set a waypoint and ride your Seikret to get there. You will know you’re in the right spot when you see a group of butterflies flying around. Plus, your Camping Kit will light up when you’re near a Pop-Up Camp location.
When you arrive at a Pop-Up Camp location, equip your Camping Kit and use it. A prompt will appear asking you to pay 200 Guild Points to set up the camp. Once you confirm, two Palicos will build the campsite for you. Keep in mind that you can only have up to four Pop-Up Camps at a time, so if you want to set up a new one, you’ll need to demolish an existing camp.
Since these camps are in the wild, they can be destroyed by monsters. Each camp has a safety level: Safe, that is no risk of destruction, Insecure, that is some risk, or Dangerous, that is high risk, requiring relocation. If your camp gets destroyed, you can repair it by paying 400 Guild Points, and two Palicos will fix it for you immediately.
If you lack sufficient Guild Points or simply want to save them, you can just wait for the Pop-Up Camp to self-repair after some time. This method is free but will not allow you to utilize the camp while it is under repair.
