All Mythic Tale Locations in Ghost of Yotei

In Ghost of Yotei, Ezo boasts seven legendary Mythic Tales, each putting Atsu to the test in its own way. These legendary quests are a mixture of heated dueling, driving you towards hidden secrets, engaging storytelling, and they reward players with charms, powerful weapons, and one-of-a-kind armors . If you complete the Mythic tales, not only will you make Atsu stronger, but also solidify her place among Ezo’s greatest warriors.

All Mythic Tale Locations

Below is a list of all seven Mythic Tale locations found in Ghost of Yotei:

The Undying Samurai

Situated in the Ishikari Plain by Nakagoya Spring, this Mythic Tale starts at Storyteller’s Rest, where Ugatsu tells the story of the Undying Samurai. To find his lair, you must find four wind chimes that are scattered throughout the area.

Once revealed, challenge the Undying Samurai to battle. Defeating him grants the Armor of the Undying, which restores health when you stagger enemies, extends Perfect Parry and Dodge timing, and increases stagger damage during Focus Attacks.

Takezo the Unrivaled

Found at the Dueling Tree near the Shikotsu River in the Yotei Grasslands, this quest begins when you challenge one of Takezo’s Disciples at any of the five Dueling Trees scattered across Ezo. Here’s the location of all five:

  • South of Tomamu Marshlands
  • West of Yubari Lake
  • South of the Shikotsu River
  • Northwest of Yotei River (Yotei Grasslands)
  • East of Boar’s Eye Cave (Tokachi Range)

Each victory grants a charm that enhances attack, defense, healing, or Spirit gain. Once all five are defeated, meet Takezo at the Coastal Dueling Tree on the southern Yotei coast to face him in one final duel.

The Five Teachings

Found in the Yotei Grasslands, this Mythic Tale becomes available after defeating Takezo the Unrivaled. To begin, equip all five of Takezo’s charms and make your way up Mount Yotei. At the summit, you’ll face Takezo once again in a final duel. Defeating him rewards you with the Straw Hat of the Unrivaled, the Gilded Night and Dawn weapon kits, and the Unrivaled Trophy.

The Storm Blade

Located at the Forgotten Shrine on the southwest Oshima Coast, this Mythic Tale serves as a tribute to Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima. Completing it grants a collection of the Ghost’s legendary relics, including the Ghost Mask, Stag Helmet, Storm Blade Kit, the Dance of Wrath ability, and the “From One Ghost to Another” Trophy.

The Spider Lily General

Located in the Shizaunai Woods of the Tokachi Range, this Mythic Tale begins south of Huranui’s Rest Inn, where a Mysterious Gate leads to the fog-shrouded Abandoned Tominaga Estate.

Here, Ugatsu returns to tell the legend of the Spider Lily General. To reach his chamber, collect four keys hidden within the estate, then confront and defeat him to earn the Spider Lily Armor, which enhances stagger damage and increases throwable weapon drops.

The Legend of Opusnupuri

This Mythic Tale takes place on Niptay Mountain in the Nayoro Wilds. After meeting Huci in Husko Kotan, begin your ascent to find Okikurmi’s Arrow. Upon reaching the summit, you’ll face the mighty bear Bad Kamuy. Defeating it grants the Charm of True Aim, which allows arrows to auto-lock onto enemies and inflict significant damage.

The Crimson Kimono

This Mythic Tale unfolds in the Sakuru Woods of Teshio Ridge. Speak with Ugetsu near the orange Mother Daughter Tree and inspect the nearby snow sculpture to begin.

Follow the trail of orange trees and scattered scrolls to complete the tale and obtain the Crimson Kimono Armor, which enables chain assassinations using Kunai, significantly reduces enemy detection range, and extends the Kusarigama’s assassination reach.

Conclusion

Each Mythic Tale in Ghost of Yotei enriches the world with lore, legendary duels, and rare treasures. Conquering them all not only strengthens Atsu but also cements her place among Ezo’s greatest warriors.
