All Monsters In PEAK

In PEAK, you not only need to reach the summit but also stay alive. Along the way, you will face three different monsters that can really make things difficult for you if you don’t know how to handle them. Each monster acts differently, and being able to handle them can keep you alive and reach the summit. Here is a guide to all the monsters in PEAK and some tips on how to escape from them.

Monsters In PEAK

There are three monsters in Peak. Below are the ways to survive these monsters.

Bees

Bees in PEAK won’t bother you unless you mess with their hive. But if you do, they will come after you, and for a random amount of time, at a random speed. The only way to avoid getting hurt is to keep running until they stop chasing you. If you are playing with a team and want to gather resources from a hive, you can use a little strategy: have one person lure the bees away while the others quickly grab the loot.

Ticks

Ticks latch onto your legs and dig in, slowly poisoning you over time. If you’re playing solo, you might not even notice them until the poison starts affecting your character. To get rid of them, you’ll need to crouch and pull them off yourself. But if you’re playing with friends, they can spot the tick on you and help remove it.

Once you remove a tick from yourself or a teammate, you can actually eat it. It counts as a type of berry. Eating it contributes to the Foraging Bond achievement, which you get by eating five different types of berries.

Scoutmaster

The Scoutmaster is one of the scariest monsters you will come across in PEAK. You can’t fight or defeat him; your only option is to run and survive.

If you blow the Scoutmaster’s Bugle, he will immediately start chasing you. The good part is that using it earns you the Mentorship Badge and gives you a temporary stamina boost. But be warned: once he’s after you, he won’t stop for a few minutes. He will try to catch you, and if he does, he will throw you around until you either survive the time or die trying.

If you want more stamina but don’t want to deal with the Scoutmaster, you can drink water or search for the legendary Bugle of Friendship instead; it gives you a stamina boost without the danger. Also, if you leave your group behind and try to reach the peak alone, the Scoutmaster might show up anyway just to punish you for going solo.
