FNAF: Secret of the Mimic is packed with hidden rooms and secret areas that many players can completely miss, especially if they stop after getting the default ending. Some of these places are present behind puzzles, special choices, or late-game access, and they hold important lore, collectables, and even secret boss fights. Here’s a guide to all the missable secret areas in the game and how you can find each one.
Storyteller Showroom
You’ll only be able to access it after finishing the Big Top Showroom section, so make sure you’ve done that first. Then, come back to the area a bit later. You must solve the power tile problem on the wall outside the showroom in order to turn the power back on before you may enter. Once that’s done, the carnival games will work again. Focus on the Ball Toss game for this part.
Start the game and aim to knock out at least the first two teeth in each row. This will open up just enough space for you to crawl through. When you reach the second round, do the same thing, clear out enough teeth to squeeze through the clown cutout. Crouch down, crawl through the space, and open the door in the back. Follow the path to the left, activate the generator, and you’ll find yourself in the mysterious Storyteller Showroom.
Jackie’s Area
Jackie is one of the first Mimic forms you’ll come across in the game. But if you head back to where Jackie’s gift box used to be, you’ll notice something new: a hole has opened up inside the big gift box in the centre. Drop down into the hole and you’ll end up in a vent that leads to a hallway in the back. Be careful here, the Mimic will show up in this hallway, so you’ll need to move quickly and stay alert.
First, find the code on the monitor behind the shelves. While dodging the Mimic, head down the hallway and take a right. You’ll come across a locked door. Use the code 0434 on the keypad to open it.
Retail Showroom
The Retail Showroom isn’t exactly a hidden area; it’s actually easy to spot early in the game when you’re heading up to the second-floor balcony to grab the elevator repair training cassette. But here’s the catch: the door to the showroom needs Executive permission, which you won’t get until much later in the game. So, it’s easy to forget about this place altogether.
Once you do unlock it, though, it’s definitely worth checking out. Inside, you’ll find a fun puzzle and a secret boss fight waiting in the basement. To get in, you’ll need a code. Technically, you’re supposed to figure it out by reading emails labelled “Retail” and checking out some monitors in other areas. But if you just want to skip the puzzle, the code is 80625.
An elevator that descends to the Retail Showroom’s basement is located behind the door. Down there, you’ll run into the Moon. Your goal is to explore the area, find four power tiles, plug them into the main circuit, and solve a power puzzle.
FNAF Pizzeria
Near the end of the game, you’ll be faced with a choice: either give the Data Diver to the Dispatcher or run the Parachute.exe program. To unlock the alternate ending, don’t hand over the Mimic schematics. Instead, choose to run Parachute.exe. Doing this will take you to the FNAF 1 pizzeria.
In this final sequence, you’ll need to survive a tense chase with the Mimic, make your way out of the pizzeria, and finally reach Edwin’s house. That’s where you’ll get the alternate ending to FNAF: Secret of the Mimic.
Mimic Workshop
There’s a secret area in the game that’s easy to miss, Edwin’s hidden workshop, where he used to work on the Mimic. You can only reach it during the White Tiger Rock boss fight. After finishing the first phase of the fight, you’ll end up in a room with a lever and two different paths.
Now instead of following the arrows on the floor like the game wants you to, turn around and walk back toward the centre of the room where the lever is. When you see the lever behind a cage, turn left and stick close to the wall. Keep going until you find a small gap that leads to an open vent. Crawl through the vent, and you’ll enter Edwin’s secret workshop. Inside, you’ll also find a voice log with more backstory.
