All King’s Rock Locations – Pokémon Legends Z-A

The King’s Rock is a unique evolution item in Pokémon Legends Z-A that can be obtained through certain missions and purchases. In this guide, we have outlined both locations where you can find the King’s Rock as well as the process needed to evolve Slowpoke into Slowking. Keep reading to obtain your King’s Rock and complete your evolution collection.

Where to Find King’s Rock

1. Racine Construction

You can get your first King’s Rock at 4,980 Pokédollars in the Racine Construction garage. The building can only be accessed after finishing Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. Once the building is unlocked, Racine Construction will also show up as a fast travel location, allowing you to return to pick up the item or see if it’s there later.

2. Side Mission 084 – “Strike First to Make ’em Flinch!”

Another King’s Rock can be received through the quest for Side Mission 084. This side mission will open up on its own as you advance through the story. This side mission can be found in the northwest region of Lumiose City, in the Magenta sector in Sector 7, inside the fenced-off battle space that’s located in the Quasartico Inc. building.

There will be a man standing in the area, speaking with him will start the battle. You can expect a fairly difficult battle with his Pokémon team that’s at Level 54. Once you defeat him, the quest will complete automatically and you will receive a King’s Rock as your completion prize.

How to Use King’s Rock

The King’s Rock isn’t an ordinary collectible item; it’s a significant factor in evolution. You are going to need it for a Slowpoke to evolve into Slowking in Pokémon Legends Z-A. Trade your Slowpoke to another player while it is holding the King’s Rock to facilitate the evolution. After the trade, your Slowpoke will evolve into Slowking.

That’s everything you need to know about obtaining and using the King’s Rock in Pokémon Legends Z-A. If you purchase it early from Racine Construction or later from a side mission, just make sure you have one available for your Slowpoke’s evolution!
