All Keycards Locations in Sons of the Forest

Looking to unlock every keycard in Sons of the Forest? This guide shows you how to find all three keycards — Maintenance, VIP, and Guest — in the correct order. Each one grants access to key bunkers packed with valuable loot and story content. Just make sure you have the shovel, rope gun, and rebreather before you begin.

How to Get All 3 Keycards in Sons of the Forest

To get into the locked bunkers in Sons of the Forest, you’ll need three keycards — Maintenance, VIP, and Guest. These cards not only move the story forward but also unlock some seriously useful gear. You can’t grab them right away though; you’ll first need the shovel, which itself requires the rope gun and rebreather. Once you’ve got all that, you’re good to start collecting them in order:

1. Maintenance Keycard

Start by heading toward the location marked on your GPS (it’ll be one of those green circle pings). Look around for a golf cart and some surveying tools in a small clearing. This is your spot. Here, you’ll get the prompt to dig, so bust out your shovel and uncover the Maintenance A hatch. Head down inside.

You’ll walk through a long hallway and eventually run into a storage room where a few of those disturbing mutant babies are waiting. Clear them out and explore the area nearby. You’ll find the Maintenance keycard sitting on a desk next to a 3D printer. That’s your golden ticket to the next bunker.

2. VIP Keycard

With the Maintenance card in hand, head to another green marker on your map, look for another cave entrance near some golf carts. Inside, you’ll spot a hatch labeled Food and Dining. Open it up and climb down into what looks like a storeroom.

Loot the bodies for crossbow bolts, then head to the locked door that requires the Maintenance keycard. Use it to open the way forward. You’ll now find yourself in a greenhouse-type area with plant racks and more of those creepy babies, so be on guard. In between the plants, you’ll spot the crossbow, which you’ll definitely want to grab.

Move toward the dark doorway at the end of this room, but get ready, there’s a Finger mutant inside. Deal with it, then press forward into another storage area. Eventually, you’ll reach a long corridor partially flooded with water. Keep following this path until you reach a locked door, but don’t go through it yet.

Instead, take the hallway to your left. You’ll find a monitor room with a bunch of screens, and the VIP keycard will be sitting on the desk beneath them. Once you’ve got it, you can open the door to the actual VIP area, it’s a big dining room filled with mutant corpses and not much else, honestly. You can leave the way you came, or take the flooded exit (which is riskier thanks to more enemies).

3. Guest Keycard

The last keycard is located near another cave entrance, this one right next to an overgrown golf cart. Head inside and make your way down the tunnel until you find a small room with a bed, 3D printer, and some useful loot. From here, take the lit path at the end of the hallway and turn right to find a locked door. Use your Maintenance keycard to open it and enter a gym area. It’s quiet at first, but don’t let your guard down.

On the right is a pool crawling with baby mutants, and on the left, there’s another gym section swarming with blind cannibals. You can skip the pool, but you’ll need to clear out the cannibals to move forward safely. Eventually, you’ll reach an orange-lit reception area. Be careful—three Finger mutants are waiting here: one behind the front desk and two more near the doors ahead.

Take them out (or sneak by if you’re feeling lucky), and move into the next section with a set of stairs leading to an upper pool area. On your right, there’s another locked door—and just past that, you’ll find a bar area. Head to the back of the bar and look around the seating area. You’ll find the Guest keycard on a table surrounded by dead bodies.

Bonus Loot and Locked Areas

Before heading out, don’t miss the door near the bar, it needs the VIP keycard to open. Inside, you’ll find a shotgun rail and other supplies. Also, if you backtrack to the locked door before the bar, it’ll lead you to even more rooms.

One tunnel leads out of the bunker (but there’s a big drop, so it’s one-way), and another path takes you to a cinema room. Look around, and you’ll find a chainsaw on a dead body in one of the seats. Just be ready to fight—there are more blind cannibals, babies, and a Finger mutant lurking around.

REMEMBER: If you follow this path: Maintenance ➜ VIP ➜ Guest—you’ll unlock all the major bunkers, grab some top-tier loot, and push further into the world of Sons of the Forest. Just make sure you’re armed and ready, things get weirder the deeper you go.
