All ‘Kell’s Fall’ Organ Puzzle Codes Destiny 2

In the exotic mission “Kell’s Fall” for Destiny 2, you’ll encounter a unique organ within the Kell’s fortress. This instrument plays a crucial role in upgrading the exotic weapon, Slayer’s Fang. To unlock its full potential, you must decipher and play a series of musical codes hidden throughout the mission. These codes, when correctly entered on the organ, will unlock hidden areas, upgrades, and even summon a challenging boss encounter. This guide will provide you with all the known “Kell’s Fall” Organ Puzzle Codes, along with their locations and effects.

‘Kell’s Fall’ Organ Puzzle in Destiny 2

In the new exotic mission for Destiny 2, you’ll encounter a strange, ornate piano-like instrument within the Kell’s fortress. While you’ll see it early on, you won’t be able to play any music on it until you complete the entire mission and acquire the exotic weapon, Slayer’s Fang

To fully upgrade Slayer’s Fang, you need to complete the “Kell’s Fall” mission three times:

  1. First and Second Runs:
    • Complete the mission twice.
    • During these runs, make sure to pick up all four “catalyst quests” that you encounter. These quests will help you upgrade Slayer’s Fang.
  2. Third Run (Expert Difficulty):
    • Run the mission on “Expert” difficulty.
    • This will allow you to fully upgrade Slayer’s Fang during this final run.
  3. Final Run:
    • In this final run, you’ll also have a fully upgraded “organ.”
    • The organ has markings from the Eliksni (an alien race) and is tricky to play without any music.
    • Look for special “codes” hidden throughout the mission. These codes will help you play the organ correctly.
    • By entering all eight codes in the correct order during this final run, you’ll complete the upgrade process.

‘Kell’s Fall’ Organ Puzzle Codes

You need to solve musical puzzles in order to upgrade the exotic weapon, Slayer’s Fang. The puzzle is organ-like, where you have to input melodies using special symbols. The correct combinations of these symbols are hidden throughout the exotic mission itself, and finding them is crucial for unlocking the full potential of Slayer’s Fang. To make the organ easier to understand, let’s number the keys from 1 to 13, starting from the left. Here are the codes we’ve found so far, along with what they do and where you can find them in the mission.

#1 Organ Puzzle Code

“Ancient gears grinding deep within the fortress.”

The first melody code for the organ is 2-11-1-10-7-6. You can find this code written on a wall in the hallway that leads to the right of the organ. Once you play this code on the organ, a message will appear: ‘The melody sounds like ancient gears grinding deep within the fortress.’ This message is a clue!

To find the room unlocked by this code, return to the wall where you found the code. Continue walking past the wall, and you’ll now find a door that was previously closed. Inside this newly opened room, you’ll discover a glowing item called a ‘Tonic’ on the floor. Interact with this Tonic, and you’ll unlock a new upgrade called ‘Nightsworn Sight II’. Sometimes, the Intrinsic perk upgrade might not appear in your loot feed, but you can still upgrade it at the Enclave.

#2 Organ Puzzle Code

“Barrier giving way.”

The code for the second melody is 1-4-11-1-4-10. You can find the numbers for this code scattered around the area leading up the stairs to the left of the organ. After playing this code on the organ, a message will appear: ‘The melody sounds like a barrier giving way.’ This means the code has opened something up in the mission.

To find the barrier that was opened, follow the path to the left of the organ. This is the same path you would normally take through a mirror to continue the mission. Keep going past some enemies called ‘Screebs’ until you reach a corridor where more enemies (called ‘Husks’) appear. At the end of this corridor, you’ll find a glowing knife on the floor. Interact with the knife to unlock the ‘Nightsworn Sight III’ upgrade.

#3 Organ Puzzle Code

“Air stirring in a forgotten passage.”

The code for the third melody is 1-8-1-6. After playing this code on the organ, a message will appear: ‘The melody sounds like a long sigh. Air stirring in a forgotten passage.’ Continue playing the mission until you reach the second “Rally Banner.” This is a point where you can revive your teammates if they die, and it’s located before the fight with the “Machinist” boss.

Search the area around this Rally Banner for three braziers (like small fire pits). Light all three braziers. This will open a hidden door located behind the Rally Banner. Go through this newly opened door, and you’ll find a sparkling vase. Interact with the vase to unlock ‘Nightsworn Sight IV,’ another upgrade, and also receive an item called a ‘Tonic of Exotic Ciphers.’

Boss Organ Puzzle Code

To summon the Scorned Organist boss, you need to play this melody on the organ: 10-4-6-1-11-4-8-1. Playing this code will open a special room dedicated to Uldren, and the Scorned Organist boss will immediately appear. Defeating this boss is essential for completing a final task given by Eido in The Last City. This task is called ‘Key Fieldwork.’

Completing the task will reward you with two things:

  1. Spectroscopic Shell: This is a new item that can be used to upgrade your gear.
  2. Large Tonic Reagent Sack: This item contains materials that are useful for crafting and upgrading items in the game.

Other Organ Puzzle Codes

  • Playing the melody “1-8-1-11-9” on the organ will reward you with a random Exotic Tonic, which can be found in the final boss room.
  • Playing the melody “4-7-9-6-2-6-7-1” on the organ will trigger an audio easter egg where you can hear Savathûn cackling in the background.
  • Playing the melody “1-8-4-11-1-6-4-10” on the organ will open a secret door in the Undercroft, leading to a room dedicated to Uldren.
  • Playing the melody “1-8-1-9” on the organ will reward you with one Exotic Tonics with Eido, which can be found on a pillar before you reach the organ.
