All Hidden Treasure Locations
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, hidden treasures are scattered all over the world, often starting treasure hunt quests and usually guarded by monsters or bandits. In the starting area, White Orchard, 33 hidden treasure chests. White Orchard is the first region you explore in the game’s prologue. It’s located east of Vizima, the capital of Temeria, and is named after its biggest village. Exploring carefully and keeping an eye out for these hidden spots can reward you with weapons, armor, gold, and other useful items.
Hidden Treasure Location #1
If you start in the northwest part of White Orchard, you will come across the Nilfgaardian garrison. When you reach the main entrance, turn around and run back down the path a little. Jump off the edge, and on your left, you will spot a hidden treasure chest. Inside, you can find a Dorian sword, some leather scraps, a bit of oren, and sometimes even a pair of hunting boots.
Hidden Treasure Location #2
Once you enter the garrison, take a left and walk into the open area. You will notice a gate on the left side, climb over the wall there. Just ahead, you will see a damaged section of the wall. Use your Aard sign to blast it open. Inside, there’s a man’s body with a scratched key that unlocks a door on the opposite side, and you can pick up some extra loot around him, too. After grabbing everything, go back through the gate. As soon as you step outside, turn right. There’s a small storage room there. If you shut the door behind you, you can safely loot everything inside.
Hidden Treasure Location #3
From the Nilfgaardian garrison, head east until you reach the water. Swim out into the middle of the lake, and you will spot a half-sunken boat. Dive underneath it, and you will find the rest of the wreck along with a body. Next to him is a small treasure container holding a brigade sword and ten florins.
Hidden Treasure Location #4
In the swamps just below the garrison, there’s a treasure spot that’s already marked on your map. It’s guarded by a few wolves, so be ready for a fight. You will also see poison gas clouds in the area, using Igni to burn them away. This clears the gas and makes the fight much safer and easier.
Hidden Treasure Location #5
Head south along the coastline, and you will come across one hidden chest, with another one further down the river. When you reach the bridge, look on the ground, and you will find a dead merchant holding a Temerian lily key. Dive into the water below the bridge, and you will spot the cargo he tossed in. There’s a chest down there containing blood-soaked military orders, a silver amber necklace, and some insignia.
Hidden Treasure Location #6
The merchant’s journal mentions even more treasure. Just follow the blood trail leading up the hill to a ruined house. Inside, you will find a chest with a hatchet, a pair of hunting gauntlets, and some silver.
Hidden Treasure Location #7
In the same area, you will come across an abandoned house. Use your Aard sign to break open the blocked passage inside, then drop down. There’s more Temerian treasure waiting for you here, including a gambeson, some crafting diagrams, oils, trousers, insignia, and a few documents.
Hidden Treasure Location #8, #9, #10, #11
Head back to the bridge, because there are several underwater chests in this area. You will find one right under the netting, another a little farther down the river, a third one close to a man sitting in a boat, and a final chest toward the middle of the water.
Hidden Treasure Location #12, #13
Make your way to Woesong Bridge and check the nearby boat to find another chest. Then walk along the beach, you will discover two more hidden chests: one inside the boat and another just behind it.
Hidden Treasure Location #14
From Woesong Bridge, head south until you reach the ransacked village. There’s a marked treasure here guarded by drowners. Use Igni on the nearby barrels to blow them up and make the fight easier. Once it’s safe, loot the chest to get assassin trousers, some diagrams, and other items.
Hidden Treasure Location #15
There’s a chest out in the open sea, just past the edge of the map. Turn on your Witcher senses to spot it. Dive quickly, grab the loot fast, and get out before the game pushes you back to the playable area.
Hidden Treasure Location #16
From the ransacked village, head west until you reach another bridge. Drop down underneath it, and you will find a chest waiting for you to loot.
Hidden Treasure Location #17
Keep walking along the beach until you reach the next bridge. Check underneath both sides; you will find more chests here. They contain things like journeyman weapon kits and other useful crafting materials.

Continue following the river, and you will come across another guarded treasure spot with drowners. Once you deal with them, you can loot the area for cavalry trousers, gambesons, and a few crafting recipes.

Head southeast to the abandoned village with a well in the center. Jump into the well and dive underwater. Down there, you will find a chest with a jewelry box and an ornate bracelet that’s used for a quest.

Swim down even farther from the well’s underwater path, and you will reach a dark chamber. Inside, there’s another chest waiting for you to loot.

After you swim through the tunnels, you will come up in a lake. Right in the centre of the water, there’s another hidden chest for you to collect.

Close to the lake, you will find a fisherman’s hut. Inside and around it, there are two more treasure chests waiting to be looted.

From Woesong Bridge, head east to the battlefield located north of the crossroads. You will find several chests scattered throughout the area, ready to be looted.
Hidden Treasure Location #24
Make your way to Crackella Bridge. You can open the gate here, but only from this side, just remove the wooden bar. Right beside the gate, there’s a small hidden chest containing a steel short sword and some gold.

Look to your left and you will spot another hidden chest at the base of a waterfall. Hop on your horse and follow the river until you reach the waterfall under the bridge. Down there, you will find a body and a very well-hidden chest tucked behind the flowing water.

From Woesong Bridge, head north across the fields. Keep an eye on your map for a “Hidden Treasure” marker. When you get there, be ready, some wolves usually appear to attack.
Hidden Treasure Location #27
At this location, you will find a small camp with a couple of lootable chests and some scattered notes. The main treasure is kept inside a nearby hut, but it’s guarded by several deserters, including a tough leader carrying an axe.

From the bandit camp, look to the west, and you will see another question-mark icon. Slide down the cliff, and you will find another hidden treasure near a dead man.

Head to the Broken Bridge; the chest here contains a good amount of gold.

From the Broken Bridge, travel south to the next question mark. You will find another bandit camp, clean out the enemies and loot the treasure.

Go to the north of the Sawmill, and you will find a Bandit camp in the middle of the forest. Defeat all of the bandits and then loot them to get the treasure.

Back near the Nilfgaardian Outpost, go south again to find a bandit camp. After defeating the bandits and clearing the poison gas with Aard, check the ground for a small hidden treasure chest with gauntlets and coins.

Go to the woods west of Woesong Bridge. Deep in the trees, you will find another group of bandits. Take them out and loot the chest behind them.
