Calibrating all Grounding Stations in The Outer Worlds 2 is essential to power up the Lightning Towers and progress through Praetor. This guide lists every Grounding Station location and walks you through accessing each tower, completing calibration, fixing faulty panels, and retrieving missing parts when required. Follow the steps below to activate all towers and unlock the full network.
All Grounding Station Locations
Here’s a list of all the Grounding Stations and their locations:
Grounding Station 1
Travel to the location shown above in the map and you’ll find a rift anomaly modulator. Interact with the rift and it’ll open up the path to the Lightning Tower – Southwest.
You’ll find some stacked boxes on your right side, use it to climb to the top of the station and you’ll find an opening through which you can enter it. Once inside, go to the computer and complete the calibration process by selecting “Recalibrate Lightning Tower”.
Grounding Station 2
To get to this Grounding Station, you’ll have to travel to the Lightning Tower – Northeast in Praetor. Inside, you’ll have to access Praetor’s Lightning Tower Operations System on the computer. Simply choose “Recalibrate Lightning Tower” which will show you an ERROR message asking you to repair or replace the faulty parts to recommence the calibration process.
Slightly to the left, you’ll find the Northeast Grounding Tower Panel which has a number of disconnected wires, scrapes, missing part etc. along with a note that warns the reader to not steal any more parts or else the Protectorate will get madder.
You then need to make your way to the Scrapper Camp and investigate. There, you’ll find the replacement part on top of a box in clear sight. Get it and travel back to the tower and carefully slot the missing part into place within the panel. Now, on the computer, try to recalibrate lightning tower again and you’ll see the calibration getting completed.
Grounding Station 3
Travel to the Lightning Tower – Southeast in Praetor, go inside the station, and on the computer, select “Recalibrate Lightning Tower” to complete the calibration and you’re done.
Grounding Station 4
To get this one, you’ll need to travel to the Lightning Tower – Northeast in Praetor. This one’s fairly simple, you just enter through the gate, go inside, and complete the calibration process by selecting “Recalibrate Lightning Tower”.
Grounding Station 5
Travel to the Lightning Tower – Central in Praetor, and use the rocks to your right side, climb to top and then jump down inside the station. Go to the computer and complete the calibration process by selecting “Recalibrate Lightning Tower” and you’re done.
