All Armor Locations in Ghost Of Tsushima

Below is a list of all the armors you can find in Ghost of Tsushima:

    Broken Armor

The Broken Armor is the first set you obtain while playing the game, and you’ll wear it after the prologue. The armor has no bonuses, and it is primarily symbolic, as it represents what Jin has lost. Once you do get real gear, it’s best to leave the Broken Armor behind, although if you enjoy the added challenge or look of a warrior with tattered armor, you can think of keeping it.

    Samurai Clan Armor

Obtained in The Tale of Lady Masako within Act 1, this armor set will serve early-game players well, especially for those who enjoy head-on combat. It will reduce damage you take, increase your health, and you restore Resolve upon receiving hits, making it helpful in large skirmishes where your survivability is paramount.

    Tadayori’s Armor

Unlocked as a reward from the Mythic Tale The Legend of Tadayori, this armor is tailored for archers. It speeds up bow draw and reload times, extends Concentration duration, and restores more Concentration with headshots, making ranged attacks significantly more effective even within the game’s mix of melee and ranged combat.

    Traveler’s Attire

Unlocked by speaking to the first Merchant you encounter, this outfit is built for exploration rather than combat. While it offers no extra defense, it makes finding collectibles much easier by causing your controller to vibrate when near an Artifact and occasionally guiding you toward them with the Wind. It also clears more fog of war on the map as you travel, and even highlights Vanity Gear and tracks items such as Sashimono Banners.

    Ronin Attire

Unlocked after completing Blood on the Grass in Act 1, this armor offers a balance of stealth and offense. It boosts melee damage while reducing enemy detection, and crouching in pampas grass makes you even harder to spot, making it a versatile choice for both sneaky approaches and direct combat.

    Sakai Clan Armor

Unlocked during the Ghosts from the Past story mission at the start of Act 2, this armor provides a balanced boost to both melee damage and health. Its key perk enhances your Standoff Streak, allowing you to defeat more enemies in a single chain (up to five when fully upgraded), and winning a Standoff can also frighten nearby foes.

    Gosaku’s Armor

Unlocked by completing the Mythic Tale The Unbreakable Gosaku in Act 2, which involves liberating multiple Mongol-occupied farms, this armor focuses on breaking enemy defenses. It increases stagger damage, restores health after defeating staggered foes, and boosts maximum health, making it ideal for an aggressive playstyle against heavily guarded enemies.

    Fundoshi

Unlocked by visiting all 18 hot springs across Tsushima, the Fundoshi isn’t traditional armor—it’s simply undergarments. Despite that, it has a unique perk: running and sprinting become completely silent, perfect for moving quickly without alerting enemies, and it also adds a humorous touch when worn during cutscenes.

    Mongol Commander’s Armor

Unlocked by completing Fit for the Khan in Act 3, which requires liberating Mongol camps, this heavy armor increases your health and greatly reduces incoming damage. While it cannot be upgraded, its standout perk drastically slows Mongol detection, making it ideal for moving through enemy territory unnoticed.

    Kensei Armor

Unlocked by completing The Six Blades of Kojiro Mythic Tale in Act 2, this armor boosts the effectiveness of Ghost Weapons, increasing their damage while causing enemies hit by them to deal less damage and take more. It also enhances Resolve, helping you recover during intense fights, making it ideal for players who rely on tools like Kunai and Sticky Bombs.

    Ghost Armor

Unlocked during the mission From the Darkness near the end of Act 2, this armor is ideal for stealth-focused players. It slows enemy detection, reduces the number of kills needed to trigger Ghost Stance, and increases the chance of scaring nearby foes, making it one of the most effective outfits for silent takedowns despite being unlocked later in the game.

    Final Thoughts

Every armor set in Ghost of Tsushima supports a different way of playing. Some emphasize samurai tradition with powerful standoffs, while others lean into stealth or ranged combat. Whether you prefer storming into battles or slipping past enemies unseen, there’s an outfit to match your style.
