In Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2, players can gather three types of collectibles lying around Seattle: BIO Cameras, Anarch Signs, and St. James Crosses. These collectibles reward players with exclusive side quests and achievements. Of these, the St. James Crosses are connected to Patience, the lady who lives in the storage compartment at the back of Aurora’s Treasures pawn shop. She will request you to retrieve these artifacts so that she can finish her enigmatic work.
There are nine Crosses of St. James hidden across Seattle, most found in key buildings that you’ll visit during the story. A few are tied to specific missions, so timing matters for a couple of them. Below is every Cross location and how to find it.
All Cross of Saint James Locations
St. James’s Cross No. 1 – Dale’s Refuge
Your initial Cross can be discovered in your safehouse, Dale’s Refuge, after you wake up for the first time. Rather than going down by elevator, go up the stairs and investigate the upper levels. On the second floor, search for a Christmas tree laden with presents, the Cross of St. James is protruding out of one of them. You’ll return to this building several times throughout the story, as it sits conveniently near the police station.
St. James’s Cross No. 2 – The Diner
The second Cross is located in Katsumi’s bar, which is called The Diner. You see this location first on a mission where you are tracking Fabian’s scent trail.
Afterward, once the location is unlocked, you can go back there anytime. You can find the Cross of St. James stuck on a dartboard in the facility.
St. James’s Cross No. 3 – Aurora’s Treasures Pawn Shop
The third Cross is found inside Aurora’s Treasures, one of the earliest accessible locations. You’ll come here often for side quests, and this is also where Patience resides. Head down the hallway leading to her room and look for a poster of a woman, the Cross is protruding from it.
St. James’s Cross No. 4 – Dead Sleep Bookshop
The fourth Cross is found in Dead Sleep, a coffee shop that doubles as a bookstore owned by Mrs. Thorne. You may access this location early on and regularly during her side quests. The Cross is in an open book that lies on a bookshelf to the right of where Mrs. Thorne stands behind the counter.
St. James’s Cross No. 5 – The Dutchman’s Bar
The fifth Cross is secreted within The Dutchman, the Brujah clan-owned bar by Silky. You’ll naturally come across this place within the main story, particularly when Silky directs you to destroy BIO cameras later in the game. When you’re inside, head to the back section where the restrooms are. You’ll see the Cross of St. James protruding out of a restroom mirror.
St. James’s Cross No. 6 – Makom Bar
You can only obtain the sixth Cross after you encounter Ryon within Makom Bar within the story. After opening access, go into the rear room and examine the corner on the far side. The St. James Cross is stuck in one of the barrels there.
St. James’s Cross No. 7 – Auto Repair Shop
The seventh Cross appears in the auto repair shop, which opens up during a specific story mission. Once you’ve gained access, return later if needed; the area remains open. Inside, go to the back right room of the workshop and inspect the toolbox mounted on the wall. You’ll find the Cross among the tools.
St. James’s Cross No. 8 – Glacier Hotel
The eighth Cross is located in the Glacier Hotel, where you go when you encounter Lou Graham. Ride the elevator to the penthouse, then go up the stairs, but don’t enter the room with the fireplace. Go onto the balcony and down to the end of it, to the painting of a vintage building on the far wall. The Cross of St. James is actually embedded into the painting.
St. James’s Cross No. 9 – Weaver Tower
The last Cross is at the top of Weaver Tower, where you go after your initial encounter with Ryon. Visit later and go up to the top floor using the elevator. Turn right upon exiting, proceed to the end of the hall, and find two black couches there, the ninth St. James’ Cross is lodged in the armrest of the left couch.
Final Reward
Once you’ve gathered all nine Crosses of St. James, go back to Patience at Aurora’s Treasures. Returning them completes her work and gives you 2,000 experience points. You’ll also receive the “St. James’s Cross” achievement as a sign of the completion of this secret collectible questline.
