Cats are spread all across the world of Where Winds Meet, and many of them are part of special “Cat Plays” that let you interact, pet, and even befriend them. Spending time with these cats increases your friendship and earns Elegance points, which help raise your overall affection level. As your affection grows, you’ll unlock extra in-game bonuses. In this guide, we’ve listed every Cat Play location we’ve found so far.
All Cat Play Locations
Cat Plays are little cat interactions you can find all over the world in Where Winds Meet. These special cats can actually become your friends. Just walk up and pet them to raise your friendship level.
You’ll also meet plenty of regular cats during your travels. Petting any of them gives you Elegance points, which help increase your overall affection toward cats. The higher your affection, the higher your level, and eventually you’ll unlock a few extra attributes in the game.
Below is a list of all the cats we’ve discovered so far. We’ll keep adding more as we continue exploring the world.
Daylily
In the Bamboo Abode area, you’ll find Daylily resting by a cliff. Look for the two wooden bridges southeast of the Northern Bamboo Grove boundary stone; she’s usually sitting nearby.
Rainbowback
Head to Battlecrest Slope and look for a small shed just south of the Oddity Collector. Rainbowback likes to curl up inside that shed.
Cloudlump
Cloudlump is also in Battlecrest Slope. Check the cooking area to the west of the Northern Vow Ruins; you’ll spot this fluffy cat lounging around the pots and fires.
Bighead
In the General’s Shrine subregion, you can find Bighead hiding behind the back door of the compound. Walk around the rear of the building, and he should be right there.
Shadowthief
Shadowthief is located in the exact same spot as Bighead behind the back door of the General’s Shrine compound. Keep an eye out for this sneaky little cat.
Patchwork
Travel to Stonewash Strand and make your way toward the boundary stone. Patchwork is usually hanging around close to it.
Petal Cyclone
At Heaven’s Pier, look just to the immediate right of the Moonveil Mountain Wayfarer. Petal Cyclone can be seen relaxing in that area.
Silent Drum
You’ll find Silent Drum at one of the dock corners in Heaven’s Pier. Wander to the edges of the docks, and you’ll spot this quiet little cat.
Twin Tufts
Twin Tufts prefers staying near people, so check the area next to the General Shop Merchant in Heaven’s Pier. You’ll usually find him sitting right beside the merchant.
Top Scholar
Top Scholar is tucked away inside the Brewery at Heaven’s Pier. Look near the central pile of golden grains; he often naps there.
Stone Pit
In Heaven’s Pier, head southwest of the West Heaven’s Pier boundary stone. Near the haybales in that area, you’ll come across Stone Pit.
Wealthcall
At Kilnfire Ridge, head inside the Porcelain Kiln. Wealthcall is found near an NPC named Song Jiu, so use him as your landmark.
Peach
Inside the Evercare Clinic in Blissful Retreat, you’ll find Peach wandering around the rooms. Just explore the clinic, and you’ll spot her easily.
Youngest
The youngest can be found just west of Blissful Retreat. Look beneath the cherry tree with scaffolding underneath it, she’s usually resting there.
Virtuous Paw
Follow the path heading toward the Mahjong area in Blissful Retreat. Beneath the arch gate along this path, you’ll come across Virtuous Paw.
Lardball
Landball sits north of the large cherry tree in Blissful Retreat. There’s a cart in that area, and you’ll often find the cat right beside it.
Snow Maiden
Head to the northern side of Blissful Retreat and walk behind the house there. Snow Maiden likes to stay near the bamboo at the back.
Peanut
In Harvestfall Village, make your way to the training grounds. Peanut stays within the training area, usually somewhere around the equipment.
Snowbelly
Travel to Crimson Cliff and head south to the docks. Snowbelly can be found relaxing near the wooden platforms by the water.
Plumphen
Plumphen is located along the path east of Crimson Cliff. Walk the trail and keep an eye out; this cat is easy to spot along the way.
Dumpling
Just west of Crimson Cliff, you’ll see a wheat field near the Peace Bell Tower area. Dumpling is usually exploring around those crops.
Mercy
On the outskirts of Mercyheart Town, you’ll find Kitty Mercy roaming near the edge of the settlement. Check the open spaces around the town.
Lavish
In Buddha Fort, head to the very northern side. Lavish hangs out in front of a small wooden shed there.
Belle
Belle is also in Buddha Fort, in what appears to be an old lumberjack’s abandoned home. Step inside or look around the structure to spot her.
