All Blacksmith Guild Trial Answers in KCD2: Legacy of the Forge

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’s Legacy of the Forge DLC, Henry faces a test of skill and knowledge as part of the Blacksmiths’ Guild initiation. The challenge starts with a short quiz, followed by forging a longsword under watchful eyes. While Bushek sells a handbook for guidance, the answers are drawn from Radovan’s early lessons, meaning sharp memory and solid crafting skills are enough to secure Henry’s place in the guild.

Do You Need the Blacksmith’s Handbook?

Master Bushek gives Henry the option to buy a handbook for 100 Groschen before the test starts. This little book is meant to help prepare for the guild questions. If you’ve got money to spare, the book is a quick read and highlights important details.

But here’s the interesting bit, the questions are built around things Henry already picked up from Blacksmith Radovan earlier in the story, so players who remember those lessons and are on a budget can manage without spending a coin.

Trial Questions and Answers

As part of the Adept quest, Henry is tested with three guild questions chosen at random. Since answers are timed, it’s best to know them in advance. Here are some probable questions along with their answers:

1. What’s the purpose of whistling at the forge?

→ To keep a steady rhythm while striking with the hammer.

2. When sparks appear during forging, is that good or bad?

→ It depends. Sparks are normal on the anvil but a bad sign inside the furnace.

3. What color shows the metal is at the right temperature?

→ A straw-yellow glow. If it cools to red, it must be reheated.

4. What’s the last step before a weapon is considered finished?

→ Quenching the blade after briefly heating it again.

The Practical Test

Once the quiz is over, Henry must craft a longsword using the blueprint and supplies given to him. To impress the guild, aim for a Gold-quality blade by heating evenly, striking with consistent rhythm, and working both sides of the sword.

Strong Craftsmanship skills and blacksmith perks will make the process smoother. Once the guild accepts the sword, Henry officially earns his place among their ranks.
