In Where Winds Meet, the Ayisu area in Jade Gate Pass is filled with many different collectables. While exploring the region, you will come across things like anecdotes, oddities, hidden chests, camps, puzzles, and small quests. Some of them are easy to find during normal exploration, while others require you to interact with NPCs, solve small challenges, or chase special creatures. In this guide, we will show you all the collectables available in the Ayisu region and how you can get them while exploring the area.
All Collectables in Ayisu
Where Winds Meet has a large number of collectables that players can find while exploring the world. Most of these items are recorded in the in-game Compendium, which helps you keep track of everything you have found. Below, you will find a complete list of all the collectables in the Ayisu region.
Anecdote #1 – Abandoned Path of Survival
You can unlock the Abandoned Path of Survival anecdote by talking to Hu Xiu in Ayisu. After speaking with him, the anecdote will be added to your collection.
Anecdote #2 – Source of Grain
To unlock the Source of Grain anecdote in Ayisu, speak with Ba. Once you talk to him, the anecdote will be added to your collection.
Boundary Stone
You can find the Squarewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone in the Ayisu area of Jade Gate Pass. Go toward the southernmost part of the region, and you will find the boundary stone there.
Divinecraft Corridor
The Times Change Corridor dungeon is located in Squarewall Hold Ruins in the Ayisu area of Jade Gate Pass. To reach it, go toward the southern part of Jade Gate Pass, where the ruins are located. Once you enter the dungeon and complete it, you will get many rewards.
Oddity #1 – Shadowfin
Go to the north side of the boundary stone in the desert area, and you will find the Oddity running away from you. To catch the Oddity, interact with the broken stones in front of you. When you interact with the stones, they will block the Oddity path, and you can easily capture the Oddity.
Walking Treasure
In the desert area, near the big tree, you will find the treasure in the sand. The treasure will be walking aimlessly, and when you reach towards it, it will stop moving. So, you need to chase it quickly and get the rewards.
Chest #1
At the big tree in the desert area, you will find the chest. Use your skill to unlock the treasure box and collect 7 Jade Fish.
Chest #2
The second chest is found by going south from the big tree. It is in the desert area between the grasses. Use your skill to release the creature from the treasure chest and collect the treasure to get Jade Fish.
Exploration Injustice – Embodying Verses V
To get the Embodying Verses V, talk to the NPC in front of the house to start the quest. He will ask you to take a photo of a person standing near the gate, while doing the Drunken Fist. Now, again talk with the NPC to get your rewards.
Chest #3
Enter the village area in the desert to find the chest inside the building. Interact with the chest to collect the rewards. The building is just near the gate of the village area.
Chest #4
From the last place, where you found the chest, go towards the tower. Climb the tower and at the top you will find a broken room. Inside the room, you will get the fourth chest.
Oddity #2 – Apsara Hare
Go towards the end of the village to find a withered tree. Climb the tree to find the oddity. The oddity will run away from you, so catch it by leaping into the air and get the rewards.
Oddity #3 – Shadowfin
Go towards the north side of the village to find the oddity roaming in the desert. Interact with the broken stone to block the path of the oddity so you can collect it easily.
Walking Treasure
Go towards the Golden Sands River to find the walking treasure near the broken tree. It will be walking in the desert near the grass area. Go towards it to block its path and collect the rewards.
Chest #5 + Camp 1/8
In the middle of the desert area, you will find the camp near the broken tree. Defeat all the enemies inside to unlock the chest and collect the rewards.
Old Friend
Go towards the west direction of the lake to find an NPC lying on the ground. The NPC is looking for inspiration to write a book. Talk with him and give him inspiration so that he gets encouraged to pick up his pen and write again.
Chest #6 + Camp 2/8
Go towards the north side of the lake to find a single tree in the desert. Under the tree, you will find a camp, so defeat all of the enemies to collect the rewards.
Chest #7 + Camp 2/8
From the camp, go towards the big tree in front of you. In the middle of the desert, you will find the chest. Interact with it to get Jade Piece.
Chest #8 + Camp 2/8
At the outskirts of the village, on the left side, there will be a tree. Between the village and the tree, you will find the chest. When you interact with it, it will show a glowing path in front of you. Following the path will lead you to a skeleton. Interact with it to collect the rewards.
Chest #9 + Camp 2/8
When going towards the big tree, stop at mid-way and follow the glowing path in front of you. The path will lead you to a skeleton. Touch the skeleton to get your chest and collect the rewards.
Chest #10 + Camp 2/8
Go towards the lake to find the chest hidden in the ground. Interact with it to collect the rewards.
Walking Treasure
Go towards the stone pillars near the lake. As you reach the red grass area, you will find the walking treasure nearby. Catch it as soon as possible to get your treasure and collect your rewards.
Universal Harmony
Go towards the Heroic Tomb and follow the golden butterflies. In the middle of the Heroic Tomb, you will find the Universal Harmony.
Exploration Injustice – A Lingering Heart
Near the lake, you will find an NPC who is crying for her child. She will tell you that her child had joined the army but died in combat to find a gemstone. Collect the gemstones and give it to her to complete the side quest.
Oddity #4 – Udumbara Flower
Near the lake, interact with the flower on top of the pillar. After that, it will move to a different pillar. Go towards the pillar to interact with it again and collect the Udumbara Flower.
Walking Treasure
Near the pillars you will find the walking treasure in the red grasses. Block its path to collect your rewards.
Oddity #5 – Apsara Hare
Climb at the top of the pillar and interact with the Apsara Hare. Follow it and catch the Apsara to get your rewards.
Chest #11 + Camp 3/8
Go towards the south of the lake to find the chest, inside the camp just near the stone pillars. Kill all the enemies to loot their bodies and collect your rewards.
Chest #12 + Camp 4/8
Climb the tallest pillar in the middle of the desert near the lake to find the chest on top of it. Interact with it to collect the rewards. There will be enemies nearby, so kill them all before you climb up the pillar.
Anecdote #3 – Ayisu’s Water
First complete the A Mirage Of Wine Wandering Tale to make the NPC come here. Talk with the NPC who is working on the pillars to Ayisu’s Water.
Hidden Path
In the middle of the lake, follow the blue birds. They will lead you to a flower in the middle of the lake. Interact with it to get Jade Fish.
Oddity #6 – Apsara Hare
Inside the lake, you will find the Apsara Hare. When you go towards it, it will run away. Follow it and catch it to get your rewards. There will be enemies in the flying area. Kill them all before catching the Apsara Hare.
Chest #13 + Camp 4/8
Just south of the lake, you will find a cactus-like pillar. The chest is on the top of the pillar,so use your skill to collect the rewards without climbing the pillar.
Chest #14 + Camp 4/8
Go towards the south of the lake to find the camp beside a large tree root. Kill all the enemies inside the camp and unlock the chest to collect your rewards.
Chest #15 + Camp 4/8
From the camp, go towards the broken building. When you reach the red grass area, you will find the chest buried in the ground. Interact with it to unlock the chest and collect your rewards.
Heal The Illness
Near the lake, you will find a tortoise. Heal it with your skills to collect the rewards. To heal the tortoise, select Stunned and press quick treatment. This will completely heal the tortoise.
Oddity #7 – Shadowfin
Go towards the east of the lake to find the oddity roaming around in the desert. Block its path by interacting with the broken stones to capture it easily.
Martial Fellowship
In the middle of the lake, you will find an NPC. Fight with the NPC and win the match to complete the quest.
Oddity #8 – Apsara Hare
In the middle of the lake, near the red grass, you will find Apsara Hare. Catch it by jumping into the air to collect your rewards.
Chest #16
Near the banks of the lake you will find a group of pillars. In the middle of the pillars. You will find the chest. Interact with it to collect your rewards.
Exploration Injustice – Embodying Verses VII
Near the lake, talk with the NPC and he will ask you for a photo. Take a photo and talk with the NPC again to complete the objective.
Walking Treasure
Go towards the Square Wall Hold Ruins. You will find the walking treasure on top of the sand mountain. Block its path to collect your rewards.
Chest #17 + Camp 5/8
Go towards the east of the Ruins to find a large tree. Kill all the enemies in the tree to enter the camp. Inside the camp, unlock the chest and collect your rewards.
Oddity #9 – Apsara Hare
The Apsara Hare is found on top of the broken buildings. When you interact with it, it will run away. So, catch it to get your rewards.
Piaoyao Battleboard
On top of a broken abandoned building, you will find an NPC. He will ask you to play a game. Win the game to complete the quest and collect your rewards.
Chest #18 + Camp 6/8
Climb at the top of the broken building to find the chest on the edge of the roof. Interact with the chest and get your rewards.
Chest #19 + Camp 6/8
Go towards the broken pillar to find the ch at on the left side of it. The chest is buried in the sand. Interact with it and collect your rewards.
Chest #20 + Camp 6/8
Go north of the big broken building to find the camp beside a tree. Kill all the enemies to unlock the chest and get the rewards.
Chest #21 + Camp 6/8
Go towards the big building and you will find the chest on the west side of it. The chest is hidden in the sand. So, interact with it to get the rewards.
Cat Play #1
On the top of the roof, you will find a cat. Pet it to make the cat a friend and get your rewards.
Chest #22
Between the big buildings you will find an abandoned house. Inside the abandoned house, you will notice that you are unable to enter the house. Use your skills to loot the chest from outside to get the rewards.
Oddity #10 – Udumbara Flower
You will find the oddity at the bottom of the watchtower. Interact with it to collect the items.
Chest #23
Climb the watchtower in front of you to find the chest at the top of it. Interact with the chest to get the rewards.
Chest #24
This chest is found outside of the building’s area. The chest is buried inside the sand. Use your skill to remove the sand. Unlock it to get the rewards
Chest #25
This chest is found inside the abandoned building. To find it, go towards the building. Once you reach there, loot under the roof. Use your skill to loot the chest and collect the rewards.
Desert Meow #1
At the outskirts of the building area, you will find a cat. Interact with the cat and play a minigame. In the required time you need to burst the bubbles that are present on the top of the buildings. You need to jump from one building to another to burst all the bubbles. After completing the minigame, you will get the rewards from the cat.
Chest #26
This chest is found on the top of the floating buildings. Jump towards it to find the chest on the edge of the building.
Chest #27
This chest is found at the edge of another big building. Jump from the floating buildings to reach the edge of the big building to unlock the chest and get the rewards.
Chest #28
Climb the big building in front of you to reach the top of the building. Then take a right turn to find an abandoned broken room. Drop down inside the room to find the chest.
Chest #29
Reach the very top of the building to find the chest on a floating platform. Interact with it to unlock the chest.
Chest #30
From the very top building, jump down to reach the floating platform in front of you. On the top of that platform, you will find the chest.
Chest #31
From the above location, jump down to reach a floating rock. On top of that rock, you will find the chest.
Chest #32
Jump down to reach the top of the watchtower. You will find the chest under the bamboo structure.
Cat Play #2
You can find this cat on the roof of a small building located southwest of the Squarewall Hold Ruins boundary stone.
Encounter – Cat Fever
To start Cat Fever, you first need to finish the Wandering Tale “The Final Retreat” in Squarewall Hold. Once that’s done, head to the tower located southwest of the area. At the base of the tower, you’ll find a small kitten named Pawsie. Simply pet Pawsie five times, and the Encounter will begin.
Chest #33
Near the big floating building, you will find an abandoned house. Inside the house, there is a chest. You will not be able to enter the house so use your skill to loot the chest.
Oddity #11 – Apsara Hare
The Apsara Hare is found on the top of a broken building, near the watch tower. Use the Lightness skill to quickly chase after the hare. Catch up to it to collect the oddity.
Gift of Gab Debate
You can find Officer Nan in the southern part of Jade Gate Pass. Talk with him to have a challenge of poems and lyrics. You need to win the mini challenge to get your rewards.
Chest #34 + Camp ⅞
The camp is found in the southern part of Jade Gate Pass. Defeat all the enemies inside the camp and then loot the chest near the broken cart.
Oddity #12 – Udumbara Flower
This oddity is found near the Boundary Stone. Climb the top of the broken building to interact with the flower and then follow the trail to collect it. Use the Lightness skill to quickly chase after the hare. Catch up to it to collect the oddity.
Chest #35
The chest is found on the top of the floating platform. To reach the floating platform, climb the broken building and then jump towards it. Interact with the chest to get your rewards.
Chest #36
From the above floating platform, jump down towards the watch tower in front of you. The chest is on the top of the tower. So interact with it to collect your rewards.
Desert Meow #2
To complete this challenge, you need to ring the bells in the correct order. Shoot the bells from the bottom to the top, and the challenge will be complete.
Compendium
Outside the broken building you will find a wooden structure. On the top of the wooden structure, you will find the Compendium near the pot.
Chest #37
Go towards the broken building on the south of the map. Enter the building to find the chest on top of a wooden crate.
Walking Treasure
Go to the south part of Jade Gate Pass to find the Walking Treasure on top of a sand mountain. Grab the walking treasure before it runs away to collect your rewards.
Cat Play #3
You can find this cat behind a large piece of a broken stone wall, located southeast of the Squarewall Hold Ruins boundary stone.
Chest #38 + Camp 8/8
You can find this chest southwest of the large lake located south of Horsehelm Village. Look around the area with the Rainbone Flowers, as the chest is surrounded by them. You can find this camp southeast of the lake located south of Horsehelm Village.
Oddity #13 – Shadowfin
In the southeast part of Jade Gate Pass, you will find the oddity in the middle of the desert. Wait until the Shadowfin swims close to the pile of rocks. When it gets near, use Reverse to trap it. This will let you collect the oddity.
Chest #39
Go to the Camel Bell located southwest of the Horsehelm Village boundary stone. When you get close, you will see some footsteps appear. Follow these footsteps, and they will lead you to a nearby skeleton where the chest will be revealed.
Cat Play #4
You can find this cat on the tower located southwest of the Squarewall Hold Ruins boundary stone. Complete the Feline Fixation quest first, as the interaction will only unlock after finishing it.
