All Armor and Dye Locations – Ghost of Yotei

In Ghost of Yotei, armor isn’t just protection—it defines your playstyle and progression. With 12 unique sets and a variety of dyes to unlock, each piece carries its own story, abilities, and style. This guide covers all armor and dye locations, along with the steps needed to unlock them, helping you earn the For All Occasions trophy.

All Armor & Dye Locations

In Ghost of Yotei, you can track down a total of 12 unique armor sets and their different dyes. Collecting every one of them will unlock the For All Occasions trophy.

Onryo Armor Location

Atsu begins the game with Onryo Armor (without the Onryo Mask), which upgrades automatically as the story progresses each time a Yotei Six member is defeated, rather than through Ginji the Armorer. Suited for an Onryo playstyle, it amplifies Atsu’s fear abilities: Spirit Attacks or thrown melee weapons can Terrify foes, potentially summoning a wolf, and Terrified enemies take extra damage. Matching gear includes Lone Wolf’s Straw Hat and the Onryo Mask.

Following each tree, red yuki mushi (fireflies) guide you.

The armor reduces enemy detection, extends Kusarigama assassination range, and allows chain assassinations with Kunai. After the third swarm, follow the fireflies from the Old Home attic to a stream, complete a snow sculpture, and reach a grave where interacting with a stone pile grants the armor.

The Fundoshi, a traditional Japanese undergarment, isn’t technically armor but counts as the 12th and final set in Ghost of Yotei. To obtain it, complete a full bathing tour across Ezo by visiting all 16 Hot Springs. Playing the “Song of Well-Being” will guide the wind toward each spring, or you can use your spyglass to spot the bright red trees that mark their locations, often elevated on cliffs. Wearing the Fundoshi silences footsteps while running or sprinting, providing stealth advantages, but increases the risk of frostbite, temporarily reducing maximum health.
