In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Alpha Pokémon are bigger and stronger versions of normal Pokémon. They have higher stats and are tougher to catch, making them more powerful in battles.
You can catch an Alpha Pokémon by weakening it in battle and then using a Pokéball. After you lower their health, a short catch window opens where your chances of capturing them are much higher. But this window doesn’t last long, so you need to throw a Pokéball before it disappears. In this guide, you will find the location of all the Alpha Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Where To Find Alpha Pokemon
Alpha Pokémon are easy to spot because of their glowing red eyes and aggressive behavior. They will often charge straight at you, even if your Pokémon is out. They are much bigger than normal Pokémon, and you can clearly see the size difference. These Pokémon are also at much higher levels than other creatures in the same area, making them tougher to defeat.
Sometimes, they know special moves that regular Pokémon of their kind can’t learn through normal levelling. You will also notice a unique red icon on their nameplate that looks like a monster or boss face, marking them as Alpha.
Bellsprout


Despite its thin body, Bellsprout is incredibly fast when attacking its prey. You can find it in Wild Zone 5, and later in Wild Zone 10 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokemon!. Its stats are HP 50, Attack 75, Defense 35, Special Attack 70, Special Defense 30, and Speed 40, adding up to 300 Combat Points.
Litleo


Litleo is a brave and fiery Pokemon. When it gets older, it leaves its pride to train and grow stronger on its own. It’s hot-headed and quick to challenge others to a fight. You can find it in Wild Zone 3. Its stats are HP 62, Attack 50, Defense 58, Special Attack 73, Special Defense 54, and Speed 52, with a total of 369 Combat Points.
Whirlipede


Whirlipede has a tough shell and spins its body like a wheel to crash into enemies. It can be found in Wild Zone 5 as a high-level Alpha or in Wild Zone 15 after Main Mission 19. It evolves from Venipede at Level 22. Its high defense and solid stats make it hard to take down.
Staryu


Staryu is known for its glowing core, which allows it to heal and regenerate even if parts of its body are destroyed. You can catch it in Wild Zone 2 only at night in the water, and later in Wild Zone 10 (after Main Mission 9), where it appears both day and night. Its stats are HP 30, Attack 45, Defense 55, Special Attack 70, Special Defense 55, and Speed 85, giving it a total of 340 Combat Points.
Magikarp


Magikarp is famously weak and clumsy, with very little strength or speed, often called the most useless Pokemon in the world. You can find it in Wild Zone 2 and Wild Zone 6. Its stats are HP 20, Attack 10, Defense 55, Special Attack 15, Special Defense 20, and Speed 80, with a total of 200 Combat Points.
Houndoom


Houndoom is a fierce Dark and Fire-type Pokemon known for the toxic flames it breathes when enraged flames said to leave burns that never fully heal. Standing at about four and a half feet tall and weighing just over 77 pounds, Houndoom evolves from Houndour at Level 24 and is one of the more intimidating Pokémon you will encounter in Pokémon Legends Z-A.
You can first find Houndoom in Wild Zone 6, where it roams as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon around Level 32 or higher. It’s often seen sleeping right in the middle of the street, so it’s easy to spot just be ready for a tough fight when it wakes up. Later in the story, you can also encounter another Houndoom inside Lysandre Labs, which you will access during Main Mission 35: Reaching Rank A. Stat-wise, Houndoom is a fast and powerful special attacker, capable of burning through most opponents before they can even react.
Binacle




Binacle is made up of two creatures living together on one rock. If they get into a fight, one will leave and find a new rock to call home. You can catch it in Wild Zone 2 and Wild Zone 6. Binacle’s stats are HP 42, Attack 52, Defense 67, Special Attack 39, Special Defense 56, and Speed 50, for a total of 306 Combat Points.
Fletchinder


Fletchinder flies faster as the flame sac on its belly heats up, though it takes some time to get the fire going. You can catch it in Wild Zone 7 as a red-eyed Alpha (Level 32+) or in Wild Zone 9 after Main Mission 9. It evolves from Fletchling at Level 17. Its high speed and balanced attack stats make it excellent for quick aerial strikes.
Pikachu


Pikachu stores electricity in the small pouches on its cheeks. When it’s in danger or feeling determined, it releases that electricity in a strong burst. You can find Pikachu in Wild Zone 3. It evolves from Pichu when its friendship level is high. Pikachu’s stats are HP 35, Attack 55, Defense 40, Special Attack 50, Special Defense 50, and Speed 90, adding up to 320 Combat Points.
Abomasnow


Abomasnow is a towering Pokémon known for whipping up blizzards that cover wide areas in snow no wonder people call it The Ice Monster. Standing at 7’03” and weighing nearly 300 lbs, this icy beast evolves from Snover at Level 40.
You can find Abomasnow in Wild Zone 12, which becomes available after completing Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. Look for a red-eyed Alpha version wandering around the snowy parts of the zone it’s around Level 44 or higher, so make sure your team is ready before you approach. Its stats make it a well-balanced Pokémon overall, with solid Attack and Special Attack power.
Avalugg


Avalugg is a massive ice Pokémon whose body is said to be as tough as steel. It moves slowly but crushes anything that dares to stand in its way. This frozen giant grows from Bergmite at Level 37, and when you see one up close, you will understand why it’s so feared it’s over six feet tall and weighs more than 1,100 pounds.
You can catch Avalugg in Wild Zone 12, the same area where Abomasnow lives. You will find it as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon near the frozen lake at the bottom of the zone, usually around Level 44 or above. Avalugg is a physical tank through and through it has one of the highest Defense stats in the region.
Kakuna


Kakuna can barely move and mainly protects itself by hardening its shell when it’s in danger. You can find it in Wild Zone 2 and later in Wild Zone 7 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokemon!. It evolves from Weedle at Level 7. Its stats are HP 45, Attack 25, Defense 50, Special Attack 25, Special Defense 25, and Speed 35, for a total of 205 Combat Points.
Ralts


Ralts is a gentle little Pokémon that reacts to the emotions of those around it its red horns warm up whenever it senses kindness or affection. Despite its small size, this Pokémon is the first step toward two powerful evolutions: it becomes Kirlia at Level 20, and then can evolve into Gardevoir at Level 30 or Gallade if you use a Dawn Stone on a male Ralts.
You can find Ralts in the Magenta Sector 7, right in the heart of the city. Look for a small garden tucked between tall buildings it’s not inside a Wild Zone. Ralts can appear during both day and night, though it doesn’t always spawn immediately. If it’s not there, try fast traveling back and forth until one appears. It’s not the strongest Pokémon stat-wise, but its evolutions more than make up for it.
Flabébé


Flabébé floats around holding a flower, drawing energy from it to use in battle. It’s especially fond of red flowers. You can find it in Wild Zone 3. Its stats are HP 44, Attack 38, Defense 39, Special Attack 61, Special Defense 79, and Speed 42, for a total of 303 Combat Points.
Whirlipede


Whirlipede has a tough shell and spins its body like a wheel to crash into enemies. It can be found in Wild Zone 5 as a high-level Alpha or in Wild Zone 15 after Main Mission 19. It evolves from Venipede at Level 22. Its high defense and solid stats make it hard to take down.
Riolu


Riolu is a special Pokémon known for sensing the emotions of others through its aura. When it feels scared or sad, that aura flares up it’s like its own emotional radar. To evolve it into Lucario, you will need to raise its Friendship level, so spend plenty of time with it.
Finding Riolu can be tricky. Head to the southeast corner of Magenta Sector 9, where you will see some scaffolding and ladders that lead up to the rooftops. Riolu appears there only during sunny daytime and it’s a red-eyed variant, so it won’t go down easily.
It’s best to make a manual save before battling it, since it’s a rare spawn. If the weather isn’t sunny, rest on nearby benches until the weather changes and try again. If you’ve unlocked Wild Zone 18, this rooftop is just past its exit, making it easier to reach. Riolu’s stats are fairly balanced for an unevolved Pokémon.
Dratini


Dratini is a Dragon-type Pokemon, standing nearly six feet tall but surprisingly light at just over 7 pounds. Full of life energy, it constantly sheds its skin as it grows, steadily getting larger over time.
In Pokemon Legends Z-A, you will mostly find Dratini in high places across Lumiose City, such as rooftops. It doesn’t appear in Wild Zones, so keep your eyes upward when exploring the city. Dratini has modest stats, with 41 HP, 64 Attack, 45 Defense, 50 Special Attack, 50 Special Defense, and 50 Speed, totaling 300 combat points. While it’s small now, it evolves into much more powerful forms later.
Pidgeot

Pidgeot is the final evolution of the Pidgey line, a Normal/Flying-type Pokemon known for its graceful hunting skills. It stands just under five feet tall and weighs about 87 pounds. Pidgeot often flies low over water, skimming the surface to catch Magikarp and other prey with ease.
In Pokemon Legends Z-A, Pidgeot doesn’t appear in the wild. You can get one by evolving a Pidgeotto at level 36. Pidgeot has balanced stats that make it a solid choice in battle. It has 83 HP, 80 Attack, and 75 Defense. Its Special Attack and Special Defense are both 70, while its Speed is impressive at 101, giving it a total of 479 combat points. This combination makes it a fast and reliable Pokemon for both offense and mobility.
Goomy


Goomy may look soft and harmless, but it’s a pure Dragon-type Pokémon with a surprisingly tough defense attacks slide right off its slimy body. It evolves into Sliggoo at Level 40, and later into Goodra at Level 50, but only when it’s raining.
The rain is also key to finding Goomy in the first place. It only spawns during rainy weather, so keep an eye on the skies while exploring Lumiose City. It doesn’t appear inside Wild Zones, but you can spot it in a few city locations. One spot is on the rooftop in Vert Sector 9, across from the Stone Emporium.
Another is between Jaune Sector 10 and Jaune Sector 12, on a small hill in the corner of the area near a building wall. If it doesn’t show up right away, fast travel back and forth or wait for another rain. Since it’s rare, save manually before approaching if you fail to catch it, you can reload and try again.
Patrat

Patrat stores food in its cheek pouches so it can stay alert and keep watch for long periods without resting. It also uses its tail to signal others. You can find it in Wild Zone 2 and Wild Zone 4. Its stats include HP 45, Attack 55, Defense 39, Special Attack 35, Special Defense 39, and Speed 42, with a total of 255 Combat Points.
Gastly

Gastly is made entirely of poisonous gas, and anyone surrounded by its body would faint instantly. You can find this spooky Pokémon in Wild Zone 4. Its stats are HP 30, Attack 35, Defense 30, Special Attack 100, Special Defense 35, and Speed 80, totaling 310 Combat Points.
Spinarak

Spinarak creates strong, thin webs to trap its prey and waits patiently until something gets caught. You can find it in Wild Zone 4. Its stats are HP 40, Attack 60, Defense 40, Special Attack 40, Special Defense 40, and Speed 30, totaling 250 Combat Points.
Houndour

At dawn, you can hear Houndour’s eerie howl echoing through the area, warning others to stay out of its territory. You can find it in Wild Zone 6. Its stats are HP 45, Attack 60, Defense 30, Special Attack 80, Special Defense 50, and Speed 65, giving it a total of 330 Combat Points.
Krokorok

Krokorok, the evolved form of Sandile at Level 29, has a special membrane over its eyes that lets it sense heat. This allows it to see perfectly, even in complete darkness. You can also find it in Wild Zone 8 after Main Mission 9. With higher attack and speed than Sandile, it’s a strong and reliable fighter.
Camerupt


Camerupt has volcanoes on its back that erupt roughly every 10 years, or instantly if it gets really angry. You can find it in Wild Zone 8 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon in the middle of the zone. Camerupt evolves from Numel at Level 33 and has 70 HP, 100 Attack, 70 Defense, 105 Special Attack, 75 Special Defense, and 40 Speed, for a total of 460 Combat Points.
Meowstic


When Meowstic feels threatened, it lifts its ears and unleashes psychic power strong enough to crush a 10-ton truck into dust. You can find it in Wild Zone 9 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!, usually on a rooftop accessible by ladder, at Level 40 or higher. To catch it, weaken it first and use an Ultra Ball for the best chance, which becomes available at Pokecenters after Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. Meowstic evolves from Espurr at Level 25 and has 74 HP, 48 Attack, 76 Defense, 83 Special Attack, 81 Special Defense, and 104 Speed, totaling 466 Combat Points.
Manectric


Manectric can shoot electricity from its mane and even summon a thundercloud overhead to strike lightning. You can find it in Wild Zone 9 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!, usually on a rooftop in the northwest, accessed by a ladder. It’s a strong red-eyed Pokémon around Level 40 or higher. To catch it, weaken it first and use an Ultra Ball for the best chance, available at Pokecenters after Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. Manectric evolves from Electrike at Level 26 and has 70 HP, 75 Attack, 60 Defense, 105 Special Attack, 60 Special Defense, and 105 Speed, totaling 475 Combat Points.
Arbok

Arbok intimidates its foes by spreading its chest wide and making eerie hissing sounds. It evolves from Ekans at Level 22 and can be found in Wild Zone 10 after Main Mission 9. With strong attack, speed, and balanced defenses, Arbok is a fierce and versatile fighter in battles.
Watchog

Watchog uses glowing luminescent matter to make its eyes and body light up, stunning any opponents that attack it. It evolves from Patrat at Level 20 and appears in Wild Zone 10 after Main Mission 9. Its balanced stats make it quick and durable, capable of taking hits while delivering good counterattacks.
Sharpedo


Sharpedo is known as the “bandit of the sea,” able to zoom through the water at speeds of up to 75 mph by shooting seawater from its body. You can find Sharpedo in Wild Zone 10 after completing Main Mission 9: Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon swimming in the middle of the zone at Level 42. Sharpedo evolves from Carvanha at Level 30 and has 70 HP, 120 Attack, 40 Defense, 95 Special Attack, 40 Special Defense, and 95 Speed, for a total of 460 Combat Points.
Slowbro


Slowbro’s tail has such a delicious flavor that once a Shellder bites it, it never lets go. You can find Slowbro in Wild Zone 11 after completing Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon at Level 42 or higher, usually found on the hills in the upper part of the zone use the upper entrance to the right of where you spawn when fast traveling to Zone 11. Slowbro evolves from Slowpoke at Level 37 and has solid stats: 95 HP, 75 Attack, 110 Defense, 100 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 30 Speed, for a total of 490 Combat Points.
Clawitzer


Clawitzer can shoot water from the nozzle on its claw, letting it zoom through the water at speeds of up to 60 knots. You can find it in Wild Zone 11 after completing Main Mission 14: Reaching Rank E. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon at Level 42 or higher, usually found swimming in the river at the center of the zone. If it doesn’t appear, try fast traveling away and coming back. Clawitzer evolves from Clauncher at Level 37 and has 71 HP, 73 Attack, 88 Defense, 120 Special Attack, 89 Special Defense, and 59 Speed, for a total of 500 Combat Points.
Weepinbell

Weepinbell immobilizes foes with Poison Powder and finishes them off with Acid. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha in Wild Zone 13, Level 47, and evolves from Bellsprout at Level 21. With high attack and special attack, it’s perfect for dealing damage while keeping enemies under control.
Trevenant


Trevenant is a Ghost/Grass-type Pokémon, standing nearly 5 feet tall and weighing about 156 pounds. It has a unique ability to control the trees in the forest using its roots as a nervous system, and it’s surprisingly kind to the Pokémon that live within its body.
In Pokémon Legends Z-A, the only way to get Trevenant is by evolving Phantump through a trade with another player using the Link Trade feature. It doesn’t appear in the wild, so trading is essential.
Its stats make it a solid fighter: 85 HP, 110 Attack, 76 Defense, 65 Special Attack, 82 Special Defense, and 56 Speed, totaling 474 combat points. With strong Attack and decent defenses, Trevenant is both a sturdy and reliable Pokémon in battles.
Excadrill

Excadrill digs deep underground, creating complex tunnels, which can even damage subway systems. It evolves from Drilbur at Level 31 and appears in Wild Zone 14. With extremely high attack and great speed, it’s perfect for hard-hitting physical moves.
Gourgeist


Gourgeist is known for its haunting songs, which it sings while wandering through towns on the night of a new moon. Anyone who hears its eerie melody is said to be cursed. You can find Gourgeist in Wild Zone 15 after completing Main Mission 19: Reaching Rank D. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha in the middle of the area, both during the day and night, at Level 52. Gourgeist evolves from Pumpkaboo when traded with another player using the Link Trade feature. Its stats include 65 HP, 90 Attack, 122 Defense, 58 Special Attack, 75 Special Defense, and 84 Speed, for a total of 494 Combat Points.
Banette


Banette was once a doll that was thrown away, but its anger and sadness brought it to life as a Pokémon. Now, it roams in search of the child who abandoned it. You can find Banette in Wild Zone 15 after completing Main Mission 19: Reaching Rank D. It appears only at night as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon at Level 52. Banette evolves from Shuppet at Level 37 and has 64 HP, 115 Attack, 65 Defense, 83 Special Attack, 63 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, with a total of 455 Combat Points.
Beedrill


Beedrill often appears in swarms and attacks with its toxic stinger while flying at high speed. You can catch it in Wild Zone 15 after Main Mission 19. It evolves from Kakuna at Level 7. With strong attack and speed, Beedrill is deadly in quick strikes.
Ampharos


Ampharos has a glowing tail that shines so brightly it can be seen from far away, almost like a lighthouse guiding lost travelers. You can find Ampharos in Wild Zone 16 after completing Main Mission 24: Reaching Rank C. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha at the northern end of the zone, around Level 52. Ampharos evolves from Flaaffy at Level 30 and has solid stats, with 90 HP, 75 Attack, 85 Defense, 115 Special Attack, 90 Special Defense, and 55 Speed, giving it a total of 510 Combat Points.
Pyroar

The male Pyroar with the biggest mane leads the pride. You can catch Pyroar in Wild Zone 17 after Main Mission 24. It evolves from Litleo at Level 35. Pyroar is fast and has high special attack, making it a strong and flashy attacker.

Wild Zone 17 unlocks after completing Main Mission 24, “Reaching Rank C.” The Pokémon in this area are around level 44, and there are six different species you can encounter here.
Mawile

Mawile has a massive set of jaws formed by horns attached to its head, strong enough to chew through iron beams. You can find it on the rooftops of Wild Zone 9 after Main Mission 9, and later in Wild Zone 17 after Main Mission 24: Reaching Rank C. In some areas, it appears as a red-eyed Alpha at Level 56. With strong attack and defense, Mawile is a formidable opponent that can take and deal a lot of damage.

Wild Zone 9 unlocks after completing Main Mission 9, “Chase That Mysterious Pokémon!” The Pokémon here are around level 25 to 29, and you can find six different species in this area.
Salamence


When Salamence gets angry, it becomes impossible to control, flying wildly through the skies and throwing flames that burn everything below, from open fields to mountain peaks. You can find Salamence in Wild Zone 18 after completing Main Mission 30: Reaching Rank B. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha wandering the streets at Level 60 or higher. Salamence evolves from Shelgon at Level 50 and has strong stats: 95 HP, 135 Attack, 80 Defense, 110 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 100 Speed, for a total of 600 Combat Points.
Lopunny


Lopunny has very sensitive ears, and if someone handles them too roughly, it’ll respond with a swift, graceful kick. You can find Lopunny in Wild Zone 18 after completing Main Mission 30: Reaching Rank B. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha in the backyard area between the buildings at Level 60 or higher. Lopunny evolves from Buneary once it reaches high Friendship with you. Its stats include 65 HP, 76 Attack, 84 Defense, 54 Special Attack, 96 Special Defense, and 105 Speed, for a total of 480 Combat Points.
Furfou

Furfrou were historically known as royal guardians in the Kalos region. You can catch them in Wild Zone 11 after Main Mission 14 or in Wild Zone 19 after Main Mission 30. With high speed and strong defense, Furfrou is both elegant and reliable in fights.

Wild Zone 19 unlocks after completing Main Mission 30, “Reaching Rank B.” The Pokémon in this area are around level 48, and there are seven different species you can find here.
Stunfisk

Stunfisk hides in the mud along the seashore, lying in wait for unsuspecting prey. When touched, it delivers a strong electric shock. You can find Stunfisk in Wild Zone 11 after Main Mission 14. With enormous HP and good defenses, it’s tough to take down, and its electric attacks can surprise any opponent.

Wild Zone 11 unlocks after completing Main Mission 14, “Reaching Rank E.” The Pokémon in this area are around level 32, and there are six different species you can find here.
Vaporeon


Vaporeon has perfectly adapted to life in the water and can even blend in by dissolving into it, making itself nearly invisible. You can evolve Eevee into Vaporeon by using a Water Stone, or you can find one in the middle of Wild Zone 20 after completing Main Mission 38: The Future of Lumiose City. It appears as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon at Level 64 or higher, though it has a low spawn rate since many fully evolved Pokémon can appear in this area.
If it doesn’t show up, try fast traveling or resting on a bench outside a Pokecenter to reset the spawns. Once you find it, make a manual save before the battle if you fail to catch it, you can reload and try again. Vaporeon’s stats are 130 HP, 65 Attack, 60 Defense, 110 Special Attack, 95 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, totaling 525 Combat Points.
Raichu

Raichu is the final evolution of the Pichu line and an Electric-type Pokémon. Small but quick, it stands about 2’7” tall and weighs 66 pounds. When its electricity builds up, its muscles get stimulated, making it more aggressive than usual.
In Pokémon Legends Z-A, Raichu can only be obtained by giving a Pikachu a Thunder Stone. It doesn’t appear naturally in the wild. Raichu has strong offensive stats, with 60 HP, 90 Attack, 55 Defense, 90 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and an impressive 110 Speed, totaling 485 combat points. Its combination of speed and power makes it an excellent choice for trainers who want a fast-hitting Electric-type.
Simisage


Simisage is the evolved form of Pansage, a pure Grass-type Pokémon with a wild temper. It’s known for fighting with its spiky tail and the bitter leaves growing on its head. Simisage stands a little over three and a half feet tall and weighs about 67 pounds. You can evolve Pansage into Simisage using a Leaf Stone.
If you’d rather catch one in the wild, head to the middle of Wild Zone 20, which unlocks after completing Main Mission 38, The Future of Lumiose City. Simisage can appear there as a red-eyed Alpha Pokémon at Level 64 or higher. It’s a rare spawn, and the area has a mix of other fully evolved Pokémon, so you might have to travel back and forth or rest at a nearby bench to change the time until it shows up. Once you spot it, make a manual save before battling, that way, if you don’t catch it on the first try, you can reload and try again.
Florges

Florges is known for creating beautiful flower gardens in its territory. It draws power from the red flowers around its neck. You can find it in Wild Zone 16 during the day, usually near the fountain in the northern part of the zone. It evolves from Floette with a Shiny Stone. Florges has extremely high special defense and special attack, making it a great support and attacker Pokémon.

Wild Zone 16 becomes available after completing Main Mission 24, “Reaching Rank C.” The Pokémon here are around level 42, and you can find seven different species in this area.
Eelektross

Eelektross is the final evolution of Tynamo, an Electric-type Pokémon that grows to an imposing 6’11” and weighs 177.5 pounds. Using its sucker-like mouth, it latches onto prey and shocks it with electricity from its fangs.
In Pokémon Legends Z-A, Eelektross can only be obtained by giving Eelektrik a Thunder Stone. It doesn’t appear naturally in the wild. Eelektross is a strong and versatile Electric-type: 85 HP, 115 Attack, 80 Defense, 105 Special Attack, 80 Special Defense, and 50 Speed, totaling 515 combat points. Its combination of solid stats and high attack makes it a dangerous and reliable Pokémon in battle.
Diggersby

Diggersby uses its strong ears to lift heavy boulders, making it helpful at construction sites. You can catch it in Wild Zone 17 after Main Mission 24. It evolves from Bunnelby at Level 20. With good defense and balanced stats, Diggersby is solid in both offense and defense.

Wild Zone 17 unlocks after completing Main Mission 24, “Reaching Rank C.” The Pokémon in this area are around level 44, and there are six different species you can encounter here.
Clefable

Clefable is a Fairy-type Pokémon and the final evolution in the Cleffa line. Standing just over four feet tall and weighing 88 pounds, it’s a timid Pokémon that usually hides from humans, only revealing itself in quiet, safe areas.
In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you can evolve Clefairy into Clefable by using a Moon Stone. It doesn’t spawn in the wild. Clefable is a well-rounded Pokémon in battle, with 95 HP, 70 Attack, 73 Defense, 95 Special Attack, 90 Special Defense, and 60 Speed, totaling 483 combat points. Its high special stats and solid defenses make it a reliable choice for trainers looking for a Fairy-type that can handle both offense and defense.
Gogoat

Gogoat can sense its Trainer’s emotions through subtle changes in how they grip its horns, allowing them to move together almost as one. It can be found in Wild Zone 12 after Main Mission 14, though it doesn’t always appear. Resting on benches to advance time and fast traveling helps it spawn. It evolves from Skiddo at Level 32. With huge HP and attack stats, Gogoat is both powerful and loyal.

Wild Zone 12 becomes available after completing Main Mission 14, “Reaching Rank E.” The Pokémon here are around level 34, and you can encounter eight different species in this area.
Bunnelby

Bunnelby uses its big ears like shovels to dig burrows, often working all night without rest. It can be found in both Wild Zone 1 and Wild Zone 5. Its stats are HP 38, Attack 36, Defense 38, Special Attack 32, Special Defense 36, and Speed 57, giving it a total of 237 Combat Points.

Wild Zone 1 becomes available once you reach Main Mission 5 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. You can find it along South Boulevard in the Vert Sector. This area is home to a variety of wild Pokemon, and the best part is they can appear at any time of day. So, no need to worry about waiting for morning or night spawns here.
Dedenne


Dedenne is an Electric and Fairy-type Pokémon that uses its whiskers like antennas to send and receive electrical signals, letting it communicate over long distances. It’s quite small, standing just eight inches tall and weighing under five pounds. Dedenne doesn’t evolve into anything, so what you see is what you get.
You can find Dedenne on the rooftops between Magenta Sector 7 and Sector 9, specifically on the buildings west of Quasartico Inc. It can spawn there both during the day and at night, though it’s not always guaranteed, sometimes Fletchling or Abra might show up instead. To make things easier, it’s a good idea to make a manual save before checking. If you accidentally faint it or fail to catch it, you can reload your save and try again.
There’s another Dedenne spawn on a rooftop in Magenta Sector 6, which you can reach by climbing the scaffolding. If it doesn’t appear, try fast traveling between these two spots to reset the spawn chances.
Dedenne’s stats lean toward speed and special attack, making it great for quick hits. It has 67 HP, 58 Attack, 57 Defense, 81 Special Attack, 67 Special Defense, and 101 Speed, giving it a total of 431 combat points.
Pansear


Pansear is a small Fire-type Pokémon known for being surprisingly smart. It even roasts its berries before eating them and enjoys helping people out. It stands about two feet tall and weighs around 24 pounds. You can evolve Pansear into Simisear using a Fire Stone.
In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you can find Pansear hanging around in trees near the town, just outside the Wild Zones. One reliable spot is along the street north of Wild Zone 6, where it sometimes shows up at night. If it doesn’t appear right away, you can rest on a bench outside a Pokécenter to change the time or use fast travel to reset spawns. Pansage and Panpour can also show up in the same trees, so keep checking until you spot Pansear.
Its stats are fairly balanced overall, with a focus on speed and special attacks. Pansear has 50 HP, 53 Attack, 48 Defense, 53 Special Attack, 48 Special Defense, and 64 Speed adding up to a total of 316 combat points.
