Prepare yourself for an uphill battle in Diablo 4 Season 9 with the quest A Wanderer into Flames. In this guide, you’ll get to know the way to unlock this quest, where to find Bryona, and what lies in store for you in the confrontation with Astaroth along with the rewards you get after defeating him and finishing the quest.
How to Unlock A Wanderer into Flames
After finding all missing pages of Elias’ Notes, the final part of your mission is set to begin. All has been gathered to summon Astaroth. But don’t expect for anything to go smoothly; the upcoming battle will be tough, and Astaroth will not be fighting against you alone. Bryona has also been preparing alongside you and is now ready. With all of the components ready, she is waiting for you to join her. Together, you two will have to travel to Astaroth’s Lair. This is where the summoning takes place.
To unlock the A Wanderer, into Flames quest, you must first complete Damn The Precipice. However, just beating Damn the Precipice will not suffice. You also need to have achieved Tier 8 in your Horadric Knowledge. If you haven’t, then you’ll have to invest some time running Nightmare Dungeons and clearing out Horadric Strongholds.
Once you’ve unlocked Tier 8, make your way to Kehjistan and locate Bryona. Speak with her to trigger the next part of the storyline. After your initial conversation, enter Astaroth’s Lair. Inside, you’ll find Bryona once again. Talk to her a second time to continue. From here, you’ll need to activate three Horadric Gateways found in the area. Doing so will initiate the summoning sequence. Just before Astaroth appears, you’ll witness a corrupted Wolf Spirit leaping into the ritual circle. This moment leads to Astaroth gaining a mount—the terrifying Amalgam of Rage.
The Boss Fight with Astaroth
During the battle, you must dodge Astaroth’s attacks while dealing consistent damage. Eventually, he will be thrown from his mount. At that point, you’ll continue fighting him while the beast remains downed. Keep attacking until Astaroth is finally defeated.
After the fight is over, exit the lair and speak with Bryona outside to finish the quest. This quest pushes the seasonal storyline forward. You’ll earn experience points, Gold, and a Murmuring Cache. Once Astaroth is gone, Bryona invites you to join her in a well-earned celebration.
