In the quest “A Final Death for Gravity” in The Outer Worlds 2, you need to rescue a couple of workers safely. It’s a short side mission where you climb up the harvester to find the missing part needed to fix it. This guide will walk you through how to complete the “A Final Death for Gravity” quest and what rewards you will earn after completing the quest.
A Final Death for Gravity
To unlock the “A Final Death for Gravity” quest, you first need to make enough progress in “Perilous Journey to the Grove.” Once you reach the part where you meet two folks stranded at the top of the harvester, they’ll ask for your help getting back down safely. Next, you’ll need to find the Drive Overloader, which is located on a high balcony on the mountain next to the harvester.
With your double jump ability, you can reach it. Start from the platform near the harvester, sprint forward for momentum, then jump and use your double jump halfway across the gap. Continue hopping across each platform using your double jump, and you will reach the Drive Overloader
How to Reach Othaham
Once you’ve collected the Drive Overloader, look just behind the table where it was sitting; you’ll see some scaffolding leading upward. Climb it and keep jumping your way across the gaps until you reach the top, where Othaham and his partner are still stranded.
When you finally reach the pair, go inside the structure and insert the Drive Overloader into the Harvester Automech Control Unit. This will lower the harvester back down and bring everyone safely to the ground. Talk to Othaham afterwards to finish the quest.
Rewards
For your help, Othaham will reward you with 542 XP, 350 Bit Cartridges, and the Monocular Target-Finder Helmet. The helmet is the real highlight; it gives you +10% weakspot damage and comes with the Range Scanner mod, which boosts your weakspot damage even more when you’re attacking from a distance.
