Schedule 1 Advanced Automation Guide

This guide outlines the setup for an advanced, fully automated eight-step production line. By strategically placing storage, configuring machines, and assigning employee routes, you’ll establish a system capable of producing approximately 90 finished products per in-game day after an initial warm-up period. This detailed plan covers equipment placement, machine routing, employee assignments, and essential troubleshooting tips to ensure a smooth and efficient operation with minimal ongoing manual intervention.

Equipment Setup

Storage Racks

  • 13 Large Storage Racks Total
    • 8 Racks for Mixing Stations
      • Each rack holds one specific ingredient.
      • Place racks behind their corresponding mixing station.
    • 3 Racks for Chemistry Station Supplies
      • Store Pseudo, Acid, and Phosphorus.
      • Organize these from left to right, top to bottom in equal amounts.
    • 1 Rack for Packaging Containers
    • 1 Rack for Finished Products

Machine Setup

Mixing Stations

  • 8 Total Mixing Stations
    • Each handles a specific ingredient.
    • Start with an MK2 station to reduce bottlenecking.

Chemistry Setup

  • 3 Chemistry Stations
  • 3 Lab Ovens
    • One lab oven per chemistry station.

Machine Routing

Chemistry Stations

  • Set recipe: Liquid Meth.
  • Route:
    • Chemistry Station → Lab Oven → First Mixing Station
    • Repeat for all three setups.

Mixing Stations

  • Route each mixing station to the next one in the line.
  • After the last mixing station, route output to the Packaging Station.

Packaging Station

  • Route to the Finished Product Rack.

Employee Setup

Handlers (3 Total)

Handler 1:

  • 5 Routes:
    • Each ingredient rack → Corresponding mixing station (1–5)

Handler 2:

  • Remaining ingredient racks → Corresponding mixing stations (6–8)
  • Assign to Packaging Station
  • Route packaging containers → Packaging Station

Handler 3:

  • 3 Routes:
    • Ingredient racks → Chemistry Stations

Important: Each chemistry station should have a dedicated supply rack to avoid uneven ingredient distribution.

Chemists (5 Total)

Mixing Chemists (3):

  • Alternate Station Assignments to avoid bottlenecks:
    • Chemist 1: Stations 1, 3, 7
    • Chemist 2: Stations 2, 5, 8
    • Chemist 3: Stations 4, 6

Alternating chemists ensures that one chemist isn’t holding up two consecutive steps in the line.

Chemistry/Cooking Chemists (2):

  • Assign each chemist to:
    • One Chemistry Station
    • The Lab Oven beside it

Optional Setup: Cleaner

  • Assign cleaner to 3 trash cans:
    • End of the first mixing line
    • Break in the line
    • End of second line

Troubleshooting & Tips

Investigating New Mixes

  • When creating a new product:
    • Go to the mixing station
    • Investigate and confirm the new product
    • Until this is done, workers won’t pass it along the line

Ingredient Stacking

  • Ensure Pseudo, Acid, and Phosphorus are stacked in correct order
  • Avoid having two identical stacks next to each other
  • Optionally, manually pre-fill ingredients to prevent early-stage errors

Production Speed

  • Initial setup has a slow start.
  • After ~2 in-game days, you’ll be producing ~90 eight-step products/day

Maintenance

  • Assign beds and cash to all workers to keep them operational

Optimization Tips

  • Track product value at each mixing step
    • If value drops, swap the last-added ingredient with a different one
  • Use Deliveries via phone to bulk order mixers (up to 320 at once)
  • Buy the Jeeper for high trunk capacity to speed up manual restocking
  • Take advantage of the fact that time stops at 4:00 AM—perfect for restocking without interruptions

Final Notes

Once everything is set up, your role is minimal:

  • Restock ingredients and containers
  • Distribute final products
  • Keep an eye on product value and tweak ingredients as needed

You’ll be able to run a fully automated, efficient eight-step mix operation with minimal effort once up and running.
