How to Farm Base Hideout Materials (Minerals, Wood & Crops) in AC Shadows

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, expansion and improvement of your Hideout are essential for advancing, requiring a constant yield of Minerals, Wood, and Crops. Smart farming of these materials is imperative to being able to squeeze everything out of your Hideout. This guide will outline the most effective strategies for gathering these essential materials, focusing on contract completion, strategic looting, and utilizing shopkeepers to ensure a consistent flow of resources.

How to Farm Base Hideout Materials (Minerals, Wood & Crops)

The fastest and most efficient way to gather resources for your Hideout is by taking on contracts at any Kakurega, whether it’s at your Hideout or in towns.

The best contracts for farming resources are supply theft missions, but all contracts offer generous resource rewards.

Once you’ve completed all available contracts in a region, you have two options:

  1. Move to a new region to find fresh contracts.
  2. Wait for the next seasonal shift, as each region’s three contracts reset with the new season.

If you’re quick, you can complete a contract in just a few minutes, making this a highly efficient farming method.

Minerals

  • Use: Required to upgrade or build rooms and structures at the Hideout.
  • Where to Find: May be looted in bundles from enemy castles and bases, smuggled by Scouts, or bought from the majority of shops. A good place to obtain them is the Port Trader off the coast at Sakai.

Crops

  • Use: Used for upgrading or building rooms and structures at the Hideout.
  • Where to Find: Can be found in sets at enemy castles and bases, smuggled by Scouts, or in most shops. A good source is the Port Trader off Sakai’s coast. Crops are the most widespread resource, so you may also find them in chests placed randomly around the world.

Wood

  • Use: Essential for upgrading or constructing rooms and buildings at the Hideout.
  • Where to Find: Can be collected in bundles from enemy bases and castles, smuggled by Scouts, or bought from most shops. The Port Trader near the Sakai coast is a solid option. Occasionally, you’ll also come across it in chests.

You can also get resources through the microtransaction store by spending Helix Credits. The Medium Hideout Resources Pack costs 1,000 Helix Credits and gives you 150 minerals, 500 wood, and 700 crops. That said, we don’t recommend buying it. Resources are pretty easy to find in the game, so there’s no need to spend real money on them.
