MH Wilds Dragonbone Relic Location and Uses

Dragonbone Relics are precious and scarce materials in Monster Hunter Wilds that are utilized to enhance weapons, craft armor, and boost charms. The relics, which are said to be ancient dragon bones, are obtained from Bonepiles located in various areas. As a starting point, the player first needs to achieve High Rank and then venture into locations such as Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Iceshard Cliffs, and Oilwell Basin. As Bonepiles update every 15 minutes, optimal farming paths can be used to maximize collection. In addition, some quests reward Dragonbone Relics as well and thus must be viewed as an essential resource for game progression and the improvement of equipment.

    How to Gather Dragonbone Relic

The Dragonbone Relics can only be gathered when the player achieves High Rank status. These relics are present within Bonepiles that can be found all around the world. These Bonepiles renew after 15 minutes of looting. Areas 4 and 5 in Windward Plains in the northwestern region of the map, which is highly clustered with Bonepiles, is the most convenient place to farm them. This location is also covered with a nearby camp, so it is a secure and convenient farming location. After gathering, players may venture further to the east and south into more Bonepiles for further Dragonbone Relics.

Completing these assignments increases your chances of obtaining Dragonbone Relics as rewards.

    Dragonbone Relic Location

Dragonbone Relics are rare materials that can be harvested from Bonepiles in various locations, including the Windward Plains, Scarlet Forest, Iceshard Cliffs, and the Oilwell Basin. To start collecting them, players must first reach High Rank. Bonepiles are easy to spot, as they appear as large skeletons scattered across these regions. Unlike mining ores, you don’t need any special tools like a pickaxe, simply walk up to a Bonepile and interact with it to collect materials.

Each Bonepile yields between three items on each harvest with a possibility of getting more with the help of your companions while gathering. Therefore, they can be a treasure to use to upgrade weapons, craft armor, and boost charms. The stuff you gather will depend on various things, but Dragonbone Relics are part of the lesser common finds so it is an effort worth undertaking to search in several Bonepiles.

After collecting all the available material from a Bonepile, it will regenerate after about 15 minutes. What this does mean is you must strategize your farming route properly, switching from one location to another of different Bonepiles to maximize gathering. As more than one Bonepile can be found within a region, you won’t need to stand idly in one spot, only switch through different locations and revisit previously looted Bonepiles later on.

By rotating endlessly between Bonepile sites, you can provide a constant amount of Dragonbone Relics and other resources. If you are building high-damage gear or boosting your armory, knowing optimal Bonepile farm sites will put you in a position to win in Monster Hunter Wilds.

    Windward Plains

The Windward Plains is a huge and diverse area, ranging from golden grasslands to deserts, with jagged rock outcroppings cutting across the horizon. As part of the Research Expedition into the secrets of the Forbidden Lands, this is the first unmapped area you’ll enter. But don’t be fooled by its beauty, the land is formed by an unyielding power called the Sandtide, a huge, thundering sandstorm that periodically sweeps across the plains.

    Oilwell Basin

Oilwell Basin is a huge, rocky terrain scattered with oil pools. Stalactites dangle from cave ceilings and under ledges, contributing to its rugged beauty. The basin has a changing weather cycle with three phases. In Plenty, the sun is shining brightly, casting golden light over the glistening oil pools. Fallow covers the basin in a cool blue color, with a light fog drifting through.

And then there’s Firespring, where the air is orange, oil pockets issuing steam, and some parts of it burning with flame. The weather shifts quickly, sometimes by itself, sometimes seemingly due to an unseen factor.

    Scarlet Forest

Scarlet Forest is an enormous, dense forest famous for its enchanting red landscape. Red-hued water runs within the forest and nourishes a habitat where all the roots, leaves, flowers, and fruits appear to act in concert. It is found in Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWilds), with this beautiful view shrouded in an unearthly light as trees whose leaves are perpetually colored red and orange. The dense canopy overhead blocks the sunlight, bathing the forest in a perpetual, dull twilight.

    Iceshards Cliffs

Iceshard Cliffs is a cold, snowy region with freezing gusts and raging blizzards, forming giant ice peaks and sharp cliffs. The jagged peaks rise defiantly in the face of raging storms, and it is a dangerous place to hunt and explore for adventurers and hunters. Snow covers the ground, and visibility is generally hampered by roiling frost and biting winds. The region is inhabited by strange wildlife that has adapted to living in the harsh temperatures in spite of the harsh environment.
